School lunch day 15: pan fried pork loin with orzo pasta and cucumber in brine.
Apple for the younger one, peach for the older, and the usual this and that..

The food was dinner leftover, and my hubby was the chef per my request while I was attending the Back to school night.

School lunch day 14: the older one got some stuffed cabbage leftover with sour cream, the younger udon noodles with cottage cheese and sour cream.
Snacks the same: peach sliced, fruit pouch, mozzarella, fruits strips, and nuts.

School lunch day 13 (its Friday!).. I think I should've packed a black cat. 🤣
Cheese quesadillas with salsa, guacamole, hummus, with some carrots, grapes and mozzarella.
My only disappointment is that I don't have a proper Thermos to keep the quesadillas warm, so I wrap them in foil before packing them in a box, and keep fingers crossed they are still delicious, even if they are not too warm anymore.

School lunch day 12: gnocchi with feta and bacon.
I had to step up the snacks today as the freshman will be in the band room until 5, so he got some sandwich thins with sausage, grapes, apple, mozzarella bites, fruit punch and a cocoa.

The gnocchi was planned to go with poppy seeds and sugar, but my poppy seed grind got bitter in the box and had to give up on the idea.
Luckily I had fried bacon from the. BLT sandwich from yesterday (which was their breakfast as well) , and with a bit of feta it saved my morning.

School lunch day 11: leftover salmon was made into Finnish salmon soup for dinner and packed today for lunch as well.
Some fresh crepes, this time with chocolate-hazelnut spread from Costco (like Nutella, for almost half the price.)

No sour cream served, didn't want to risk fermenting in the Thermos.

School lunch day 8: mixed lentil and bean soup leftover (cooked with salsa and added a dash of vinegar to spice it up), with naan.
Apple-berry squeeze, nuts, sausage and beef jerky for snack, and a fruit punch.
TGIF!!!

School lunch day 7: a bit more organized by the second day, still a 5 minute hot lunch for the kiddos.
Gnocchi tossed in bacon fat and pesto, and optional toasted bread crumbs.
Sliced apple, some beef jerky, sausage, mozzarella cheese for snack and a fruit punch.

School lunch day 6: emergency lunch.
Pre-cooked brown rice with beef chili and salsa.
90 seconds, and the hot lunch is ready to be packed.
The mandatory fruit punch, fruit strips, fig bars, whatever I found in the drawer before my big "beginning of school year shopping" spree.

School lunch day 2, missed ro post yesterday: red lentils with oven baked and charred pork loin with honey-bbq and beer sauce. Mandatory pickles, sliced apple, the leftover of the cantaloupe, and macadamia-white chocolate cliffbar.
Water bottle was filled, too.

New school year, new project.
Will be documenting every lunch packed, just for fun.
Today's box: 2 fried/grilled slices of pork loin thinly sliced, leftover from yesterday, 2 minute couscous (it will stay warm in the Thermos), pickles, 3 slices of cantaloupe, 1 pre-cut apple, and some snacks.
9:00-3:00 camp is no joke for a 15 year old teenager.
