It's hard for many to come up with Down Payment, Closing Costs and then if you are not putting 20% down, in most cases you are paying PMI in addition to your principal and interest payments. Using a VA loan, you do not have to have a down payment and they still do not add the PMI. It may be less closing costs. In some cases, you may be exempt from paying the funding fee.
