Classic 1986 Autauga County High School Football Preview from the Prattville Progress

Congratulations to the Prattville 18U All Stars on their 5th place finish in the DYS World Series.

In May 2024, a precious young lady in our community received news that has completely changed the plans of what any other 18 year old is excited about. Her plans now consist of treatments for cancer.

Emma Cate Jernigan, a Prattville native graduated from high school, turned 18 and was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroendocrine cancer. She will receive treatment from specialists and oncologists at both Vanderbilt in Nashville and MD Anderson in Houston, who specialize in this rare diagnosis (especially in someone her age). The cost of travel and medical expenses for her treatment are impossible to predict and are adding up quickly.

The sole purpose of this raffle is to raise funds to cover travel expenses, lost wages due to traveling and any additional medical expenses that insurance may not cover. 100% of the raffle sales will go straight to the Jernigan family. We are grateful for any and all donations and ticket sales!

DRAWING IS AUGUST 15

These girls fought hard all week but came up just short with a final score of 1-2 against Fairview, TN. We couldn’t be more proud of these girls. They made league history as the first Prattville softball team to make it and place 3rd at the World Series! Great job girls🎉🏆

Congratulations to the Prattville All Stars Red 8U for their 3rd place finish in the DYS 8U World Series in Fairview, TN.

The march continues. Prattville All Stars Red 8U beat Texas 17-2. They move on to take on host team Plainview, TN tomorrow at 10 AM. The winner moves on to the championship game.

After a tough 8-0 loss last night to Mississippi following a 2 hour rain delay, the Prattville All Stars Red 8U bounce back with a resounding 17-5 win over Georgia. The team will continue their march through the consolation bracket around 5 PM today depending on rain delays.
