We have a new Private Pilot to celebrate today! Number 2 of 3 successful check rides today. Jake Parsons, flying N4240T, successfully completed his Private Pilot check ride with DPE John MacLaughlin. His flight instructor is Rachel Supergan.

We have a new Private Pilot today! 1 of 3 successful check rides! Arnav Sharma successfully completed his Private Pilot check ride flying N402ER. His instructor is Russ Ebaugh and DPE Josh Donaldson conducted the check ride.

Today was a BIG day at Leighnor Aircraft LLC for FAA check ride success! We had 3 Private Pilot check rides - and 3 NEW Private Pilots! 3 for 3! We'll get their stories up shortly, but a big congratulations to Arnav Sharma, Matthew O’Connell, and Jake Parsons! Well done gentleman!!!

Their instructors also deserve mention - Russ Ebaugh had two of these students today and Rachel Supergan had the other check ride.

We have a first solo flight to celebrate! On November 21st, 2023, Lukas Barrett completed his first solo flight in 15 hours! Lukas was flying N827KS and his solo flight was at Cottonwood Airport. Hunter Vandertoll is his flight instructor.

Thanksgiving Hours

We have a new instrument rated pilot today! Robert Schouten completed his instrument check ride with DPE Josh Donaldson while flying N85FF. His instructor is Davis Riffe.

We have a very BIG announcement today! We have a new multi-engine trainer that arrived today in Prescott. A Diamond DA42 Twinstar! State of the art multi-engine training has arrived at Leighnor Aircraft LLC! Details on training opportunities will be coming soon.

We have a new Private Pilot! On October 19, Erik Skibsrud completed his check ride with DPE Josh Donaldson while flying N827KS. Erik’s instructor is Russ Ebaugh.

This is a special achievement as Erik started flying with the AFROTC You Can Fly scholarship. Erik is the first cadet we’ve had to go through to become a Private Pilot.

Congratulations Erik on your achievement! We’re all very proud of you!

We have a solo endorsement today and it’s a special event. Jacob Elias came to Leighnor Aircraft to finish out his Private Pilot certificate. Flight instructor Joey Caron is quickly getting Jacob ready for his check ride and today he was signed off to solo while flying N6282D.

We are 2 for 2! We have another instrument rated flight instructor today! Sam Ellington, flying N827KS, passed his CFII check ride this morning with examiner Mark Rebholz. Sam is also an instructor at Leighnor Aircraft and would love to share his knowledge.

(N827KS is standing in as the stunt double…) His examiner was Mark Rebholz. Brandon is one of Leighnor Aircraft’s instructors and he is very willing to share his instrument knowledge!
