The Jewish Community Youth Foundation held their Annual Check Ceremony on Sunday, February 25. The event is the culmination of the work of 8th through 12th grade participants who have learned about Jewish organizations locally, nationally and in Israel, vetted funding proposals, and awarded grants to the programs they found most impactful. Last Thursday, we organized a special Cafe Europa for local Holocaust Survivors. It was important the Survivors be given a space to come together and support each other as they process their deep emotions in response to the ongoing violence in Israel and the rising wave of antisemitism. Our thanks to Rabbi Adler and Cantor Katlin from Adath Israel Congregation, Rabbi Kornsgold of Beth El - East Windsor, and Rabbi Blum and Cantor Goldstein of Congregation Beth Chaim - Princeton Junction, NJ for bringing together a program of words and song that provided a moment of healing and hope. #JFCSMercer #hope

Our 3rd Annual JFCS Wheels for Meals was a day of joy and community this past Sunday. While still reeling from the terror attacks in Israel last week, our event gave space for light and togetherness. We joined together to make a difference here in our community and for our partners at לקט ישראל Leket Israel We raised over $93,000 in support of JFCS food programs and the funds directed to Team Leket supporting their meal delivery efforts to those under siege in southern Israel.
