Our close proximity to Prior Lake and Pike Lake necessitates a strong commitment to soil and water conservation, exemplified by our recognition as a lake-friendly farm within the Spring Lake Prior Lake Watershed District. To mitigate soil erosion, we employ cover crops. Notably, this year's winter grazing fields were successfully planted via aerial seeding.

We're always looking for new ways to better our animals welfare. After years of using shavings in our coops, we recently changed to sand after doing some research.

❤️ Sand acts as grit when eaten and aids in digestion

We had a great first farmers market! Thank you to everyone who came by. We sold out of stew meat, pork chops, bacon, and beef roasts, and over half of our eggs. We'll be back next Friday!

Never underestimate the power of determination!

We may have started late, but we still managed to plant all peppers, tomatoes, sweetcorn, squash, cucumbers, melons, and gourds in the garden.

Onward to planting pumpkins and root vegetables and making this harvest season unforgettable! 🥰🥰
