Today's Belgian National Day! 🇧🇪 To celebrate, we're sharing some history about our name- we hope you enjoy it!

Like everything we do -- our name is authentically Belgian. The name comes from the Zenne River that runs through the middle of Brussels. Back in the middle ages, the land surrounding the area became known as “zinneke” because of all of the wild, cross-bred dogs that were overrun in the area and that would gather around the river. Overtime the term would come to refer to multicultural person’s and is a nod to the unique multiculturalism of the Belgian City.

Did you know we’re opening our Café in Providence soon? You’ll be able to enjoy all of these delicious, mouthwatering 🧇 waffles and stay for some coffee and friendly vibes.
