How to Find LGBTQ-Friendly Healthcare Providers Having doctors or other providers who are competent in treating LGBTQ+ people can make a huge difference in your cancer care. Here's how to find them.
Just because a doctor is assigned to you...doesn’t mean you have to keep them.
If your doctor uses harsh language, refuses to recognize your partner, or refuses to provide health care related to your sexual orientation, ask for a different doctor.
You should feel comfortable talking about your sexual identity, sexual behaviors, and gender identity whenever you're at a doctor’s office or clinic.
Need help finding an affirming healthcare provider? Go to qhip.cancer-network.org to find our list.
