Two of our most inquired about selections are currently back as part of the specialty menu! At least a couple of times every week in the summer, we get asked about the macaron sandwiches and our Neapolitan brownie bar–two flavors we constantly make during the cooler months because of production logistics. The macarons because the humidity at the shop prevents them from properly drying and the Neapolitan because, well, it’s meticulously hand-layered to create a perfect bite, but doing so in the summer creates ice cream that is too melted which then creates ice crystals!

Both are definitely labors of love and we glad they come across as such ♥️.

We’re continuing to bring back some of our most favorite ice cream sandwich flavors this week before summer comes to an end! Our stewed peach ice cream on oat blondies returns for an encore performance (fret not because it’s not the last time you’ll see our stewed peach ice cream this year). There’s also a fresh pandan leaf ice cream which is a flavor entrenched in my childhood memories. Seriously, my grandma put it on everything from being used as an aromatic for fresh steamed rice (she thought I’d eat more if the rice smelled like jasmine) or as a floral note for cakes and pastries. Its grassy, vanilla-like flavor pairs well with coconut which is what we did this week!

For chocolate lovers, there’s a salted caramel ice cream with chunks of peanut butter wafers on those decadent fudge brownies. Whew! Lots of options this week. See you all soon 😊.

It is joined by our interpretation of an apple crumble a la mode featuring roasted apple ice cream between almond crumble blondies. For chocolate lovers, we made a milk chocolate and roasted hazelnut ice cream sandwiched between double chocolate brownies with swirls of cheesecake batter. Whew! Lots of options.

Two tropical flavors make their way into our specialty menu this week! Golden mango ice cream on toasted coconut blondies are available alongside coconut ice cream rippled with either chocolate fudge or salted caramel (both are available since we just can’t seem to choose).

Kirsch stewed cherry ice cream with ribbons of chocolate fudge and chunks of marshmallows and roasted almonds is also available as sort of a black forest cake & rocky road ice cream hybrid.

Well, well, well. Color me surprised when the corn ice cream from two weeks ago we touted as “divisive” sold out incredibly fast. If it could talk, I’d think it would echo Sally Field’s 1985 Oscar speech: “You like me! Right now, you like me!”. If you missed it during its first go around, it’s currently back on the menu!

This week’s set of specialty flavors reference to some things I’d enjoy on a perfect summer day: corn pancakes with blueberry jam in the morning, ‘hot-from-the-oven’ peach crumble with vanilla ice cream at noon, and campfire s’more’s at night!

Over the years, we’ve probably made around 150 different flavors. So, it’s not uncommon for us to be self-referential and pull from our archives to rework some favorites. This week, we’re bringing back our lemon “meringue pie” ice cream sandwich made better with the addition of a raspberry compote ripple. If you’re not into our fruit selections, try the salted caramel ice cream with peanut butter cookie crunch between those decadent, fudgy brownies!

This week’s specialty ice cream sandwich menu features flavors made from summer’s plentiful bounty. Stewed peach ice cream returns as a menu item available all month long. There’s also raspberry ice cream paired with fudgy brownies (this is an archival flavor we constantly bring back; clearly, we’re big fans of the fruit’s ability to undercut chocolate’s decadent richness). Lastly, sweet summer corn ice cream, our most divisive flavor, returns this week. Even amongst the crew, this either seems to be on someone’s “Top 5” or a hard pass. Curious?
