We’ve been telling you for years that Bikini Kill Bikini Kill Records played at AS220 - well, here’s photographic proof! Photographer extraordinaire Justine DeMetrick shot this show back in 1991, and you can see a few images from it, amongst many other non-AS220 shows, on exhibit at Westerly Camera and Darkroom until July 3rd! This show was booked by the almighty Atomic Action! Records who still books killer gigs here to this day, and also featured Nation of Ulysses, Born Against, Dropdead , Skinned Alive, and maybe Bug Juice (?). Somehow two different flyers exist for this show, neither with the complete lineup 😂 - and yes, that’s still our phone number.
