Videos by Cache Valley Chiropractic in Providence. Yes, you can turn your pain into ease quickly with high quality care from Cache Valley Chiropractic!
Think about one activity you do a lot, let's say sitting at your desk for example. 4+ hours per day, 5+ days per week, 11+ months per year, for 20+ years all in the same general position...can you see where we're going with this? Our bodies LIKE movement! So many of my pain patients report having increased symptoms when doing their "one activity" be it computer work, sewing, massaging, etc. for very long. The amount of time is different for everyone, but as a general rule try to change your position *before* you experience pain! Then aim to not be in the same position for more than 20-45 minutes at a time. Your mileage may vary, so try it out for yourself and see what happens, then let us know if it helped!
If that's not enough, we got your back! 😂 (We know it's not that funny). Just make your appointment online or call the office.

The first question a provider may ask you about your pain is what kinds of things make it worse? Sometimes my patient can't even tell me! If that's you, don't stress. Just taking 24-48 hours to pay attention to what activities, times of day, or movements tend to aggravate your issue. Just knowing this simple answer puts you on track to conquer your pain! For example, does your low back always hurt after sitting through meetings? Does your neck hurt every time you work at the computer? Do your wrists hurt while holding your phone? Conversely, what are some things that make your pain feel better? Because if taking a walk around your desk reduces that low back pain, you might want to quadruple the walking and watch as you just solved your own problem! If your pain still has you stumped, schedule an appointment with our chiropractor to get to the root of it! Ignoring your pain may feel tempting and convenient in the short term...but as we age, our problems don't tend to get better. They get worse and harder to manage. Pushing through your pain may be necessary for some of us to get through work tasks, family duties, or household chores. However, no pain no gain does NOT apply here. Pushing through your body's pain signals puts you at risk for injury and inconvenience in the long term. Pain medications can be a godsend to reduce your pain for a short time and do the things you absolutely must get done. Unfortunately, when your pain signals are repressed you can put yourself at risk for worse injury and inability to listen to your body's cues. So why chiropractic care for your back pain? I practice a modern, patient-bases chiropractic model that aims to evaluate *why* you're having pain, *how* we can get you out of pain, and *what* we can work on to prevent you from having pain in the future. Care at our office is extremely safe and tailored to your individual needs. Don't come expecting to be "cracked" and sent on your way! #pain #chronicpain #chiropractic #chiropractor #chiro #cachevalleychiropractic

In addition to vitamin D supplements, some people use light spectrum lamps that emulate the wavelengths of sunlight that can possibly contribute to better moods - especially important in winter for those of us who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). In our state of Utah, we just aren't getting enough vitamin D from the sun until springtime so make sure you are checking in with yourself and your body's needs!
