Kyle's Chainswords & Dragons
I'm a miniature painter that does commission work and my own. If you're here to see my artwork that'

A snapshot of my most recent projects!
Finally got motivated to paint again! Work in progress. Also only did half so I have the option to display it how I want!
Here are some of my current armies I've got! Felt like sharing! Also shows some of my projects work in progress pics!
Oh yeah! Putting some of my own stuff together for the big Halloween game coming up! Got a big Chaos gate for terrain, primed some of my Chaos Death Guard, and putting together a squad or two of Space Marines! Idk how much will get painted before Friday but I'll keep you all posted ;).
It's taking longer than I'd like to get settled into the new place. Once I do I'll get back to painting and update you on how that's going ;).
The results are in! Out of all the customer votes I got 5th place! I was shooting for the top but top 5 feels pretty good ! Thanks for the support everyone! Also the little Necron robot trophy it had literally fell off as I placed it on my mantle! A miracle it stayed on throughout voting.
If you'd like me to work on a project for you or have a suggestion for a future project feel free to message me.
Just confirmed they extended the voting time till tomorrow at closing. I'm currently in 6th place with 9 votes. I'm wondering if it's because they aren't looking at the model directly and just looking at it on a computer screen across the counter? Anyway if you want to support me go ahead and stop by a Dragon's Keep in Utah County before Saturday and vote!
Voting ends this Saturday at Dragons Keep in Utah county! I made it further in the competition too! I believe I got 2nd in the Provo location? Don't quote me on that. If you want to support you can go into any Dragons keep in person and a staff member can help you vote!
Going to do a group painting session with some friends! Helps to get me motivated to paint!
Testing out UV resing and snow effects! Also got them mostly painted, still gotta do some finishing touches. Seeing them react to a black light was a fun surprise!
I'm going to call this large miniature done! Tried some more experimental techniques on the base to make it look frosty. Love how it turned out! Also got new oxidized copper/brass effect paint and had to throw that on there! Also added more rust streaks to make it look really old.
It was a fun project and I should find out the results of the competition pretty soon. Hopefully this week! Wish me luck! I'll provide more details when I have them. You should be able to vote in person in the store once voting begins.
Had a friend suggest doing a marvel miniature. Any super heroes/villains you'd like to see me paint? Leave a comment!
Also thought I should give you guys an update on my competition piece. I'm liking it more now that I redid the purity seals and added weathering. It's my favorite part! Just have to do more OSL (Object Source Lighting), basing, and some touch up on the unfortunate Necron in his hand!
Painted this guy up Sunday evening! First time going with a dramatic OSL (Object Source Loghting). I like how Jimmy the Librarian turned out! I felt he deserved a paint job from his psychic kill on the tabletop over the weekend.
Split second decision on making the big guy white instead of black. Now I'm thinking of doing a chipping effect where white is on bottom and black ontop. This guy is a long way from done. What do you guys think so far? I'm curious as to what you think?
Pretty much got the model I'm going to use put together! Took me longer than expected, but it's good! Still got more modeling im going to add and then on to painting!
Gonna participate in the competition hosted by Dragon's Keep in Utah County, Utah! Should be fun!
It's coming! Next week begins our amazing Semi-annual painting contest. We look forward to all the creations and community in the stores.
Experimenting with power swords. Blending two different metallics.
My personal Death Guard army with an Eldritch Horror and Novel Covid-19 virus theme!
These were a mix of my own and commission pieces that didn't really fit into any particular place.
My personal army, and my first. A work in progress but I plan to have around 1500 pts. There will be some work in progress photos and completed photos.
Swamp Tau! Had fun doing this whole army!
