This Friday at ABG’s, we are tickled pink to have Chicago’s absolute finest, NORTH BY NORTH - out here all the way from the Middle West to give us a heapin’ helpin’ of hot licks, pounding rhythms, and wailing vocals. Joining them are Provo’s absolute grungiest, DERM, who will have you dancing through the distortion. Plus we have the homies from DOOR CITY, come to grace our stage for the first time with their punk-tinged brand of delicious ear candy. The whole thing’s gonna be a beautiful mess of fuzzed out tones and it all goes down from 10 in the PM til Last Call, right here at ABG’s!

This Friday October 18, y’all are cordially invited to come turn up Inferno-style with the Dark Lord of Scratch DJing Himself, TURNTABLE LUCIFER! He’ll be performing two sets of old school turntablism and you’re gonna feel your soul leave your body a little more with every shake of the b***y. Joining them is the incredible SEEKING THE SUN, the vanguard of a style called Terror Funk - which is perfect because this band is so talented it’s scary. Their bombastic rhythms, hypnotic guitar work, and rich vocals will have you utterly captivated. It’s a night for dancing, for banging your head, and enjoying a couple cold drinks while you do it - and all of it goes down from 10 PM til Last Call, right here at ABG’s!

Alright, y’all, this Friday, July 5th, we’re gonna strap in and ride the Wayback Machine allll the way back to 90’S NIGHT at ABG’s. That’s right, y’all, we’re doing a nostalgia thing. Come see your favorite local bands play some of your uncle’s most cherished semiotic codes for “cool”: Derm as Nirvana, Seeking the Sun as Primus, Powerhouse as Guided by Voices and Queenadilla as the White Stripes. Alright, so White Stripes is only TECHNICALLY a 90’s band and the first Guided by Voice release was in 1985 - go kvetch to the rest of the nerds at the record store about it. “90’s Night” rolls off the tongue better than “An Evening of Blatant Nostalgia Exploitation”. What are you gonna do? I’ll tell you what you’re gonna do- you’re gonna put on your Docs and your giant trip pants and shuffle on down to ABG’s on July 5th. Doors at 9, Music at 10. If you tip us decently enough, we’ll pour a White Claw into. pint glass and tell you it’s a Zima. Come on out, y’all.

This Friday we’re taking it back to the Ur-myths of American Popular Music with two of Utah’s finest purveyors of the Blues. That’s right, THE BLUES - Rock and Roll’s father and Jazz’s cousin. We got The Howlin’ Tomcats coming down from Salt Lake City who are gonna play it all the way down to the bone. And before they hit the stage we will be treated to a full band performance from none other than Utah County’s own Brother Chunky, who has a whole new repertoire of tunes for y’all. Come on out, boogie on down, and tip a couple of steins up while you’re at it too! It all goes down from 10 PM til Last Call here at ABG’s!

This Friday June 14th, we are bringing you some of that delicious SUMMERTIME SADNESS. Opening up the show we have the instrumental emo stylings of SYMPATHY PAIN. They’ve performed with acts like The Body and Midwife, and we’re proud to have them@on our stage. After that, we have a very special treat - Peter Goldie, from one of our favorite acts , is bringing his vinyl collection down and is spinning classic SADBOI material til last call - The Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen, New Order et al! Come on out dressed in black and prepare to sway all goth-like to the music - maybe you’ll work up an appetite for our EXTREMELY AESTHETIC LOADED FRIES while you’re at. Plus you know we got all the beers and boozes, too. It’s a good time when we’re singing about bad times and it all goes down from 10 to Last Call, only at ABG’s!
