Good job Officer Brown and Officer Hamil!!
A couple suspects stole some old AC units from Melton’s Heat and Air in Pryor on 04/26/2023 and were caught on video surveillance. Officer Brown and Officer Hamil responded to the call and quickly identified one of the suspects. Fraily’s salvage in Chouteau called advising the suspects just scrapped the metal. Pryor Officers had MCSO/Chouteau PD detain the suspects until they could arrive. The suspects were arrested and charged with the following:

"We requested a weekend service call on our cabin A/C on the shores of Lake Hudson this past weekend. We lucked out and Jerry was on call. It was the 2nd time in several years he came out. It is unbelievable how timely he is! I am talking on a Sunday morning he was there within an hour! He had it up and going with our A/C in a short period of time. He is well worth every cent we paid. A couple of years ago when he came out it was the same thing. He worked as hard as could to get it going but we still had to have a part. I left a key hidden and the next time when we came up it was fixed! Jerry really represents this company good.

Melton’s A/C and Appliance Repair
The Melton family has been serving Pryor and the surrounding area for over 67 years. Their father, Leroy, got things started in 1951, when he began Melton's Sales, and Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Appliance Sales and Repair Company. He installed the very first 'refrigerated air' unit in Pryor's Spot Cafe,"Both sons, Roger & Randy Melton attended and graduated from Pryor High School. In 1971, Roger Melton attended NEO A & M and then continued to OSU Tech to follow in the family tradition. Randy Melton also graduated from OSU Tech to carry on the tradition. Both brothers continued to work with their father in the family run business. In 1985, Roger and Randy Melton purchased the HVAC and refrigeration side of the business from LeRoy Melton to establish their own company. As a second-generation business, the brothers wanted to continue the high quality of service started by their father LeRoy Melton.
In 2017 after battling a short bout of brain cancer Roger Melton left us to join his parents LeRoy & Lea Melton in heaven. As the elder of the two he was the face and customer service of the business. Never meeting a stranger, always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends & neighbors. Putting customers first was Roger's top priority. His boisterous voice, sense of humor & wonderful working knowledge is missed every day.
Carrying on with the family business and tradition Randy Melton has made sure to keep the high quality of service that Melton's has been known for throughout many years.
The Company has grown annually from the beginning. Melton's has continued to
maintain convenience stores, schools, churches, restaurants, industrial and residential
needs. Melton's has a qualified staff of technicians to handle both small and large jobs.
To be able to progress with the times all the employees are constantly continuing their
education with classes and seminars. The service techs are cell phone dispatched and
each van is equipped with the necessary diagnostic equipment to work efficiently in the
field. The office staff is fully trained with in the trade to handle all needs competently.
Melton's maintains a fully stocked parts department to more effectively provide for the
customers.
Melton's plans to continue to grow with the Pryor and surrounding area. Serving the customers, both large and small, with the most effectively operated HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance repair company in northeast Oklahoma.
