We will have our regular fundraising items, along with tons of clothes, shoes, household items, and baby gear that will all be "make a donation"
All money raised will be used for our Affordable Childcare Program and helping us to secure a building to expand.
As we prepare for the daycare center we have created a new enrollment survey, this will also add your child to the wait list.
Please fill this out if you are in need of childcare so we can determine the staffing needed to open.
The building is located in Sandy creek and the projected opening date is August 28, 2023.

Our initial inspection yesterday went great, we will be scheduling the fire inspector and the final walkthrough soon.
Our current plan is to start enrollment process soon and have children start after the new year.

We also accept used items (donated or lower cost purchase) that are in good shape (must meet daycare regulations)
Our program is in need of 9 of these cots. They will be used for naps at the in home program and travel with us to our larger building in the future.

On Saturday we received our determination letter for the OCFS Childcare Desert Grant, unfortunately even though our program met all of the requirements we were not one of the 23 programs in Central NY to receive funding.
To provide help to the community while we work on a new building plan I (Stephanie) will be increasing my childcare license in my home to accommodate more children. When we are ready to enroll I will reach out to the families on our Brightwheel wait list, and then post remaining spots here. Oswego County is providing FREE TRANSPORTATION to the Oswego County Farmers' Markets beginning July 18th. Please join us for the Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting Event will be 7/21/22 at the Oswego Farmers' Market at 4:30pm.
Our community outreach program includes a clothing closet, personal hygiene items, baby needs, and food. All items are provided to those in need at no cost. To continue these supports we are asking for community donations of

This week we are going to Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo
Little Fish Community Center is looking to fill 2 vacant board seats. These are volunteer positions, with the possibility of becoming paid once the center has funding for them. The open board seats are Secretary and Community Outreach Coordinator.
The duties of these positions are outlined in our by-laws and are as follows:
The Secretary shall attend all meetings. The Secretary’s duties shall consist of:
*Reading meetings from previous meetings.
*Tracking and recording all motions brought to the table and their votes
*Providing typed copy of meeting minutes to president and center director for publishing.
*Maintain social media and program website (this task will be shared with the Community Outreach Coordinator)
Community Outreach Coordinator’s duties shall consist of:
*Creation of outreach programs, these will include Food bank, Clothing closet, Personal hygiene bank.
*Advertisement of resources to the center and local community
*Working with treasure and outside resources to obtain funding as needed
*Maintain social media and program websites (this task will be shared with the secretary).

This week we are visiting Old McDonald's Farm
When we reach out to a business for donations we never know what we will get. When I emailed Craftables and asked about a discount for our center, Erin replied, they don't have a special discount code, but she could include some vinyl scraps for free.
This is the AMAZING scraps they sent us. We are so thankful for this, it will help us to create so many projects for the center.

LFCC received an extremely generous donation Saturday of 24 bags stuffed full of mens, womens and children clothing, shoes and toys!
We are so thrilled with this donation because we know we will be able to help so many local families with it! We cannot wait to get our clothing closet up and running for the public to access.

We want to thank everyone who stopped by this weekend to drop off donations, and ask questions about our programs. We received a HUGE donation of baby clothes, and tons of material scraps we will use to create more rice bags, scrunchies, and other craft items.
As we are getting our programs running community support is important to help us meet goals and spread the word about what we have to offer. If you or someone you know is in need of clothing or food assistance please message our page. We will provide the support we have available and can post asking our supporters for help also.
We will be there with our prize wheel, wristbands, craft items, and clothing. All sales go directly to help support our programs. We look forward to meeting community members and spreading the word about how we're working to create programs that will help families thrive.

Homemade Fruit Snacks - Nature Nate's Snacks with Honey Homemade fruit snacks are a fun and easy recipe to give your kids a boost after they get home from school. Don't eat them all yourself!
We will be set up at our storage unit at Daddy O’s Saturday from 9-3, If you are in need of assistance, or have items to donate please stop by. We will also have the prize wheel, wristbands ($1 each) and craft and other items for sale to help support our programs.

This week we were able to help 2 homeless women. This is possible because of the support we receive from the community through monetary donations and donated itemsand clothing.
