I also like to raise some awareness for mental health while I'm at it and meet new people.
Slowly finishing up these scrappy bags. Too many embellishment options, sooo much hand sewing...🫠🫠 Really feeling the tropical-ish color palette of the second bag right now though. 🌴
Very true 👍
While crafting has been minimal, I've managed to start a new tube top and am nearing completion of a scrappy shabby chic bag made entirely from scrap fabric... I hope everyone is being more productive than me right now!😅 If not....well, that's okay too.💚
Don't come for me 🫣
So turns out my latest top has NOT been sold and we have a scammer trying to pull a fast one! I'm telling everyone so you also know what to look out for.
This went on for a week. She messaged me about my top not long after I had posted it as a work in progress and shared it to groups. First she asked me if it was still for sale, I told her I wasn't quite done yet but could sell it to her as soon as I was done and that I'd send her pictures of the whole finishing up process. I'm not going to type the whole story....but here's all the screenshots from the conversation.
She seemed very willing to pay but when she "sent" the payment she actually sent an email from a fake cashapp account that requested an additional $200 dollars from me.
I'm sure she has other fake accounts she uses but I included the screenshot of her name and profile picture.
This went on for a week! The only thing I can say I got out of it was that I got to waste her worthless time and keep my $200. She got nothing, not even an awesome new top.🤣🤣
I hope this shared experience will help you all be on the look out for even the small signs.
Finally completed and already sold. I decided to leave the embroidery off since the buyer liked it so much as is!
This top was inspired by the Barbie movie. What should my next top's inspiration be? I have so many ideas and just can't decide!
Remember this little work in progress?😅 After many weeks of running out of pink yarn and returning to the store several times, it's finally almost done. Next, I will sew the satin ribbon straps to the cups, add some embroidered details, add a little more ribbon, and make a few more rounds around the cups for extra coverage. I can't wait to share the finished product with you! 💚🐻
Let whatever you do today, be enough 💚
Okay, I've been thinking about the beach again.😅⛱️🌊 This is the first water bottle holder I've actually finished (I know, crazy). What does everyone think? I crocheted the pearl beads on, but if you think they should look more uniform, I could sew them on instead!🐻🧜🏻♀️
I know a few of my followers could use this reminder....

Chesh from Zombie Cheshire Productions is our second B.I.P. of the month! She showcases diverse artistic skills in pixel art, digital art, animation, resin, polymer clay, painting, and mixed media. She also streams and cosplays and has a passion for Alt fashion.
If you enjoy gaming or any alternative subculture, you'll love her work. From cute frogs with knives, to pretty gothic jewelry, to gamer art, you're bound to find something that will make your little nerdy/gothic heart sing (I bought her resin Kirby pins and they were so well made it was scary, haha 🦇💀)! Chesh pours her heart and soul into every carefully crafted creation and each piece exudes her own unique style and character. Feel free to like and follow her page or check out her many shops, Twitch, and Discord server!

Q&A:
I am Chesh of Zombie Cheshire Productions. I am a disabled nonbinary (she/him) kawaii goth Streamer, Artist, and Crafter.
Q: Who/What inspires you?
A: I am inspired by mostly my little family and the various interests I have. I love a variety nerdy things and a wide mix of alternative styles.
Q: When did you start your work?
A: I started I think in 2016 at some cons and craft shows and then when the pandemic hit, I moved everything to online. Growth is slow but it’s still there and I love what I do. I have some pretty not great health and doing my art allows me to work on what I love while also caring for my little family.
Q: How do you work?
A: how I work entirely depends on my day and mood, typically though, I feel most motivated in a good outfit (that’s comfortable and stylish) listening to some music that matches the vibe of the piece or hanging out with fellow twitch streamers while I work. Sometimes I will throw on a tv show such as a favorite anime or a depth game analysis.
Q: Do you have any formal training?
A: I have no formal training and am all self taught which I pride myself on. I have learned all my mediums basically on my own through research and practice. I am currently teaching myself pixel art illustration and basic animation which I use to create animated emotes and such.
Q: Where would you like to see your work/business take you in the future?
A: I would like to see myself still steadily growing and continuing to improve. I hope to slowly build a nice following of people who enjoy what I do with both my art and my streaming. I don’t want to be huge or super famous, but I want to be someone that people know they can trust for cool art. I also hope to do more big art projects for conventions, a dream of mine to create art for a large one some day.

Current Work In Progress: The Barbie Babydoll Top (a snug-fitting top at the bust that flares out towards the hips, ideal for hiding chub!). The checkered pattern is inspired by the Barbie movie, which I have not seen😅, but thought it would be a cool idea to draw inspiration from it for a top. 🩷
Say hello to the cutest appliqués in town - Strawbeary and Strawbeary Wifey! They're a lot of work, but I think it's worth it. Now, to sew them onto something!🐻❤️🐻🍓
What does everyone listen to when you're crafting/arting/working/doing chores? I'm curious! 🐻 🤔
Beary Hotcakes' very first crochet tutorial.✨️🎉 Learn the chain stitch on my Youtube channel! The video is only five minutes long and gives the left AND right-handed tutorial! Feel free to like and subscribe!
Chapter 1: Crochet a Chain on a Rainy Day (beginner crochet tutorial) I show the left AND right-handed tutorial in all my videos.I use a 6.0 millimeter hook and a worsted weight yarn in this video (Red Heart is a good brand of ...
Master the chain stitch, the foundation of almost every crochet project, in my upcoming tutorial video! Abbreviated as 'ch' in patterns, this stitch offers endless possibilities. With just the chain stitch, you can create a simple garland, bracelet, bow, belt, or add wire for unique shapes and letters.
I'll be using worsted weight yarn for the video (Red heart is a good yarn for beginners to start with) and a 6.0 millimeter hook, but you can follow along with any yarn or hook you prefer!🧶✨️❤️
You too, can crochet! Bear believes in you! 🐻
Cute little strawberries! 🍓🍓 As you probably know, little pouches have been my obsession lately, but what other things should I stick these crocheted juicy gems on? Let's think outside the pouch! Maybe I'll thrift a pair of denim shorts and strawberr-ify them! Any thoughts?🤔🐻🍓

Tara Kay Creations from Arcadia, Florida, has been selected as this month's Spotlight B.I.P. (Beary Important Person)!
Her artwork has a way of transporting viewers to the world of her imagination and fantastic whimsical scenes of fairy-tale proportion make you forget which world you're standing in. However, it's not all hearts and flowers in Tara's world. Her ability to portray the darker and uncanny side of make-believe will make you wonder if you're really in a daydream or a nightmare.
Check out and follow her page if you're interested!🧚🏻♀️

Q&A*:
Q. Who/what inspires you?
A. i’m really heavily inspired by the fairy-like, whimsical look, that being; pastel, colorful colors, (or bright, but color is key*) glitter, nature, made up creatures & of course, fairies.🧚
Q. When did you start painting?
A. i’ve always been drawn to the creative side of things, crafting things out of clay or making paper mache projects. almost 3 years ago i started painting, and every chance i get i spend most of my time practicing and creating what i love the most.
Q. How do you work?
A. i mostly work from home right beside a sunlit window in my living room. being comfortable is important to me so when i’m working on anything i’m usually just in my sweats. so, my “okay to get paint on clothing”. it just gets all over the place 😂😂. music is also a must have in the background. always!
Q. Do you have any formal training?
A. i’ve never received any formal art training at all. all i know is from observation & practice. jumping into the paint and learning along the way. when i was little i used to admire for hours, my uncle bob’s art work that would be hanging up at my grandma’s house as well as sketches my mom made when she was a teenager and kept.
Q. Where would you like to see your art take you in the future?
A. i’d definitely call myself a dreamer. and i plan on making these crazy little dreams of mine come true. persisting through is what it takes, even when it gets hard at times, or i’m not feeling as creative as other times, but i’m hoping to inspire others to follow the dreams that make them happy and to bring joy simply by showing off the beauty in art that i see every single day. who knows? maybe in a couple years i could walk into an office, or any building and see one of my art works hanging up for anyone to see!☺️☺️

Calling all artists, writers, and small business owners!
Once a month, I'd like to show my support by featuring a different artist, writer, or small business as our Spotlight B.I.P (Beary Important Person) and showcase a few of their works along with a little Q&A. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get the word out about the talented artists I come across!
My focus is mostly on local Florida artists and small businesses, but everyone everywhere is welcome!
Want to be the next big thing? Comment or send me a message if you'd like to be this month's star!🐻📣🌟

Today, I exchanged my hooks for a rolling pin and baked a cherry pie. Let this serve as a delicious reminder to take breaks from the norm or your primary hobby every now and then and enjoy an old pastime or discover a new one! 🥧🍒🧶
Tiny drawstring pouches are my newest obsession. They're just the right size for crystals, dice, coins, earbuds, and other small trinkets. But honestly, I'd like to go on a mushroom-foraging adventure in the forest and fill them with all the little mushrooms I can find! 😆🍄
