Every litter needs a good babysitter (in addition to Mom!) Here's Auntie Indigo overseeing the munchkins with Mama Pixie.

It is moose hunting season in Norway soon. Just as many immigrants had their names changed at Ellis Island, our dear canine companions names were also "bastardized". They are, in Norway, 'Elg'-moose 'hunds'-dogs, and thus not truly a 'hound' but a Nordic moose hunting dog. This from a Norwegian Elkhound site stateside:

Training can't start too early, so we begin with meals in the crate, so they like going in, and feel safe. One of our first sessions, here.

They don't stay still for very long! Puppy portraits! Introducing the Peace Litter of 2022 (all names mean 'peace' from West African to Saami languages. This little guy below is Heddwch (pronounced Aye-vookh, in Welsh. Lucky his new parents gave him easy to pronounce Welsh call name, Ianto!

We're so proud of mama 'Pixie', best mom in the world, still playing and teaching, even with pups at 12 weeks!
