Three things that might surprise you about me:

1) I love GOOD children’s music (think Laurie Berkner and Caspar Babypants) so much, that the idea of becoming a children’s song artist is very intriguing to me.

2) I play the flute and teach elementary band two days a week.

3) I am easily entertained. I like most movies/shows I watch no matter the genre and like most books no matter the genre. If I do find one I don’t like, I will still probably finish it because I want to see how it ends.

My 2 year old loves to help put the silverware away. For a while she would get on the step stool and I would have to watch her every move to make sure she didn’t fall. Then I had this brilliant idea so now she can be helpful and I don’t have to worry about her falling.

Do you often fight with your kids on eating their fruits and/or vegetables? My son was always great at eating whatever we put in front of him, but my daughter fights almost everything.

One day I thought I would try to make bananas more interesting and make them into popsicles. Both of my kids devoured them instantly. I started experimenting with putting different fruits in too, like blueberries and strawberries. Now I am making smoothies into popsicles and getting a huge variety of fruit into them before 9 AM. I can even throw some spinach in to sneak some greens.

What are some ways you get your kids to eat their fruits and vegetables?

As our kids get older, even though they don’t need us to read to them anymore, it is still important to engage with them on what they are reading!

I TOTALLY get it 💯you are not a salesperson and don’t want to come across as salesy to your friends and family. I had this same hesitancy when I started this four years ago. I still do not want to come across this way.
I am currently learning how to do this business without it and can help you along the way. I also love these products so much and it is such a joy to get to share them with people. This business is helping to raise literacy around the country by getting more books into houses.

PaperPie is currently offering a monthly zoom called “A Tiny Taste” which is a small slice of what it is like to be a Brand Partner with PaperPie. It is a short 15 minutes about the perks and tools of Brand Partner life. There is no pressure to join, just live time with two lovely ladies that can help answer your questions and calm your hesitancies. A mistake I make a little too often is going on long drives or to an appointment with the kids and I don’t bring anything for them to do or look at. I seem to forget these awesome resources that I have at my fingertips. These would be awesome for car rides or doctor’s office wait times. For the most part you only need the book or the book and a wipe clean pen. I will be putting these in the car for the future.🚙
