Today officially marks the 26th anniversary of our Creative Master Stylist and Educator, Heidi, starting her journey at Pepper's! 🥳🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉

She is such an inspiration to us, always pushing each of us to learn more and do our best! Heidi is an amazing mentor, leader, co-worker, hair stylist, and friend ❤️ she is truly a one of a kind person with a beautiful soul. Today, we celebrate Heidi and all that she has and will accomplish 🍾

✨️What made you want to become a hairstylist?

"It was something I always knew I wanted to do. I’d always been interested in the industry, so I decided to go to beauty school to see if I liked it."

✨️How did you feel when you first started educating? And how do you feel about it now?

"I was extremely nervous when I first started training because I was one of the youngest, most inexperienced stylists at Pepper’s. I had to train people older and way more experienced than me. I’m much more laid back now."

✨️What is something you think every stylist should know?

"You’re never going to know everything no matter how long you’ve been in the industry. Keep learning!!!"

Let's talk about our education program!

Education is important to us! Every stylist starts out in our apprenticeship program, which is 6 to 12 months long. Our creative master stylist Heidi has been involved in our education department for the last 23 years. Her role is to teach incoming stylists the basics of the Pepper's experience ❤ she will guide stylists through blowdrying, color formulations, haircuts, and so on.

We have this education program to not only help stylists be the best versions of themselves but so that you can see anyone in the salon, and every stylist will provide a similar exceptional experience.

Peppers will also bring in outside education to the salon for stylists to learn and grow. There are also travel opportunities for our stylists. Heidi has gotten to travel around the United States and learn from some of the most renowned and talented stylists in our industry today. 🙌
