Ajax the Percheron this morning, fitting his harness and adjusting his cart before doing some work with his feet handling. From there, it was baby Bleu the Shire before finishing the day with the new horse in training Cypress the Belgian mare who is in to improve her manners with the farrier.
Thursday mornings start off with Carlyn and her crew, working with her and Ruby and then getting Vinny's first trim finished before putting a brief rise on Katy Scarlett. From there it's to Panda's home base. She returned home Monday and I worked her and her herdmate Diva.
After that, I got to meet Leila, a two year-old Shire filly who needed some work on hoof trim etiquette before my final lesson of the evening who rode Kitt.
The day today. Two morning group lessons, and then trimming Jasper (which I regrettably forgot to photograph, before heading off to work with Kadriya's crew which included yearling Gaia, two year-old Slava, Jewel drives again after a year break from it, and a brief look at Sol's feet before coming home to teach another group and a final private lesson.
I'm trying to do the "day in the life/take pictures of all my sessions" week again.
Today started with a neighborhood ride with DaVinci the Saddlebred before taking a spare moment to long line Halo for the first time in the little arena at the property. She was excited.
Then it was Bleu the Shire who is just a few months younger than Halo.
Judy Mackenzie will be down here for another clinic on March 30th!

I still have my Harness Fit and Function course at the Equine Academy, you have a little over six months left to take it before the site starts to close down.
It is official!
The Easy in the Harness podcast has launched alongside the Patreon to support it.
The plan is to have monthly episodes and, over time, build a resource for drivers.
Through Patreon I plan to develop content, audio, video, and more, to help people with their horses (and other animals!). The primary focus will be driving, but many of the things covered will be applicable to other disciplines as well.
Feel free to ask questions and suggest topics for future episodes. The second episode will be covering different types of driving.
