A few of my favorite photos. The first two are the earliest photos. The first photo is from his first night living with us. Note his sadness there not sure of his future etc... it was heartbreaking seeing him so sad. The second photo was from maybe two weeks later ? Or less ? That was the first picture he was incredibly happy in. That's the way he stayed ever since. He was so photogenic it was amazing at times. You could read his feelings so well from photos. Rest in peace buddy we miss you so much and always will

On July 3rd at 1:45 am Dreidel Hanley sadly passed away. He had a severe heart problem from the time we adopted him three years ago. Two separate vet's both gave him 6 months or less to live. Jeanine and I found a way to afford expensive meds for 3 years and somehow managed giving it to him without too much trouble twice a day. All while keeping the Air Conditioner constantly on and getting Dreidel to slowly completely trust us. After losing several owners and having many homes in his seven year life at that point... once he became happy hear he would completely panic if I left his side at all. Even to go to the bathroom for five minutes he came and always protected me. Combine that with a serious heart condition I decided to change my life and build it around him the last three years causing me to stay home almost always. I didn't want things to end for him like that. It wasn't fair to him. Dreidel deserved our absolute best. I've never seen a human being or animal as grateful for love as he became. He went for impressively kicking mine, Jeanine's, and any vets asses for six months to becoming the most docile, loving ,and sweet living creature I've ever had the pleasure to know. I wouldn't change a day or a thing. I know I did the right thing by sticking by him no matter what... even if that meant losing important things temporarily in my life. He lasted an amazing 3 plus years in total happiness bringing happiness to everybody he interacted with. One of those lucky relationships that life circumstances causes you to become so much more attached to than you ever thought possible. In the middle of the night July 3rd he woke me up choking. By a miracle his vet was the doctor on call after closing. Because his condition got so bad so fast out of nowhere he advised me he likely had a rupture happen in his heart. His great advice allowed me to act as quickly as possible rushing to the hospital were they stabilized him long enough in an oxygen tank to say goodbye. His lungs began filling with water and there was no undoing it. All I could do is end things and reduce suffering as much as possible which we did successfully. He had trouble breathing but we acted before it got really really bad. He fell a sleep peacefully while I hugged him and looked him straight in the eyes singing to him. I'm beyond thankful he went as peacefully and painlessly as I could have possibly done. Losing many other animals in the past I'm beyond grateful he had a much better ending than most. This picture was the last ever taken of us together. I haven't been able to speak about it as it hit me harder than any other loss of my life. If I'm honest he loved me unlike anyone else. His loyalty was unmatched. I've never seen anything like it by anyone if I'm being totally honest. Jeanine and I are just devisated. You don't realize how blessed you were until you lose something. So the loss of Dreidel is immense because of how great a blessing he was in our lives. R.I.P to likely the best friend I'll ever have. I pray his previous owner was there on the other side to recieve him. I live in queens but had to go to brooklyn his old neighborhood to a 24 hour vet completely by chance being so close to July 4th. We even got lost for 20 mins right near Dreidel's old house. I like to think that's a sign he truely went home and his previous owner who passed came to pick him up and take him to the other side. It truely came full circle for Dreidel ending were it first started. Who knows what happens on the other side but I like to believe and hope that was the case. Until we meet again Dreidel rest in peace. Words truely can't express our feelings for you. May god bless you with the maximum possible as no doubt you earned that and then some...

The official release of Pist.On's new "Cold World" EP is getting closer. The first new music released by Pist.On since the 2001 "Saves" EP. It's well worth the wait in my opinion. I was a loyal Pist.On fan long before joining as there new bassist and personally really enjoy listening to the new EP. I think people are really going to enjoy it
