Indiana Drones and the Art of Aerial Imaging
Photographer, Aerial photographer
Was near Greenville, CA yesterday evening on my first paid gig (as Indiana Drones π€ ) for a realtor for a beautiful property on a hill. While I was up I couldn't help but nab this sunset to the northwest of the place. What a gorgeous part of the world I'm blessed to live in. π
My nerdometer's redlining. Can now print up to 16x20" images to MY likingβno more photo labs. Now to set up this ginormous gadget. π€π
The park just west of my mom's place where I played from 13 to when I got my driver's license and first car. It was a real Texas thicket then. My younger brother and I made little campfires and roasted beans like a couple of trail hands. The trees are the same, but the brush is gone, walkways added and such. I think it's beautiful. So's the sunset. π
Breaking in a new drone: The DJI Avata. It's kind of a dune buggy compared to my workhorse, the Mavic 3 Pro Cine, which is more like a Land Rover. The Avata is fun and fast and will be good for filming 4K video while flying through the front door and out the back. Potential buyers (and realtors) love the through-the-home perspective.
Indiana Drones and the Art of Aerial Imaging is now officially open for business. Click to see how Indy can help you sell a home or property with beautiful aerial photos and video.
HOME | Indiana Drones Indiana Drones is Patrick Luscri, an FAA-licensed commercial drone pilot and professional photographer. Why Indiana Drones? Because drones rhymes with Jones. Duh. π
Yesterday late afternoon in the Sierras just southeast of Quincy. I like how the sunset turns trees violet.
Not sure which one I like more. I know that I'm loving a little sunshine. Makes for much better sunsets. π Spanish Peak from Quincy, CA,
The yearning is real, my friends. My drone (not the one in the pic) and I are so bored with the rain that we captured a photo and made it into a melancholy watercolor-ish image of our view from a window. π

Snowday in Quincy in 4K (w/music) π
Snowy, slushy, foggy Sunday. We got much more than I thought we would. And I know next to nothing about meteorology. π
I like windmills. This one watches over Mt. Huff Golf Course while Mount Huff watches over it. π
Stills in support of the Dixie Fire Canopy Project. More to come. π

Working with a worthy nonprofit, the Dixie Fire Canopy Project, whose members will be planting new trees and shrubs this Spring in Greenville, CA and surrounding areas devastated by the 2021 Dixie Fire. In support, I created this video montage:
From Mount Huff Golf Course yesterday. The owner let me fly from a fairway. Beautiful little place and you can't beat the view. π
