We offer Primary Care, Walk-In Urgent Care, some Specialty Care - including Cardiovascular, Radiology & Imaging, Medical Laboratory, and more.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to work in a busy Primary Care Practice.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

-Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the practice
-Greet, assess and interview patients
-File paperwork, lab slips, and insurance information into the medical charts
-Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs
-Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint, and brief interrogation of complaint
-Act as a liaison between doctor and patient
-Update medication list and current problem list
-Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by medical staff
-Anticipate needs of patients.
-Monitoring of patient during examination or procedure
-Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties
-Maintain patient care areas
-Stocking and ordering of supplies as needed, and maintaining clean exam rooms
-Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures
-Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem
-Maintains patient confidentiality
-Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy and EKG's
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Knowledge of HIPAA.
-Medical Assistant Certification/Degree
-Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
-Certification from AAMA or equivalent

Skills and Abilities:

-Skills utilizing computer systems experience
-Good documentation skills needed with attention to detail
-Ability to draw blood/ phlebotomy
-Ability to interface with patients and family members/friends
-Ability to interface with a variety of personalities involving a variety of situations
-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and management.
-Knowledge of various medical technologies and equipment associated with out-patient healthcare
-Knowledge of eCW preferred

Site Supervisor, will assist the Practice Manager with direct planning and coordinating of the operational, clinical and administrative efforts of the practice or department. The supervisor is a liaison to Manager and providers, and assists with the management and development of staff, analyzes work-flows, oversees the site / department daily operations, etc. The supervisor is responsible to assure the coordination of quality cost-effective care.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs as the liaison between Manager and Providers
Assists the Manager with the following:
Develops short and long term work plans for goals of the site/department
Develops appropriate protocols and trains staff in such, relevant to the department/site
Oversees daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned supervisors and staff.
Develops work-flow and implements changes according to the needs of the site/department
Developing and implementing with staff both short- and long-term work plans and objectives for clerical functions.
Manages the site/department budget.
Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
Assists in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of clerical staff, including
corrective actions.
Responsible for the selection, orientation, development, training, and evaluation of all staff
Assures the site/department is in compliance with related regulatory offices and guidelines, (ex. OSHA,
HIPAA, DPH, corporate policies and procedures, etc)
Serves as the liaison between site/department and external agencies, vendors, etc.
Assures optimal customer service, is the liaison for patients, and assures follow through on all patient complaints in accordance with company policies
Collaborates with providers to ensure quality patient care and services
Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices
Regularly evaluates the site/department for effectiveness in workplace protocols, work-flows, and patient satisfaction
Oversees and approves office supply inventory, ensures that mail is opened and processed, and offices are opened and closed according to procedures.
Performs other related duties as designated
