The Quitman Chamber of Commerce Candy Walk is happening now at the Quitman Public Library from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. Candy sponsored by Friends of the Quitman Public Library.

Board Games for Teens group will meet on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 1 – 4 p.m. in the library’s community room. Bring a couple of board games that your teens enjoy, and you are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to share. This group is designed for teens only (ages 13 – 19) and meets every other Friday. Organized by Homeschoolers – Wood County, Texas.

The public is invited to the Quitman Public Library on Saturday, October 19 from 1 - 3pm to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Wood County TX Genealogical Society. Volunteers will be on hand in the newly designed Genealogy Department to offer assistance to those interested in beginning their own family history research.

Book Lovers Day is celebrated on August 9 every year. This is an unofficial holiday observed to celebrate reading and literature. Pick up a good book today at your library!

Summer Reading Rodeo 2024 is happening during the month of June! The program is designed for ages Pre-K through 10. There will be special events each Wednesday in June from 1-2 p.m. Stop by the front desk and pick up your reading game card and an event schedule.

The Spring Friends of the Library Book Sale is coming up soon!
