Wood County 4-H Member, Fernel Ventura, along with other youth from across Texas just completed phase 1, the planting phase, of the Norman Borlaug Youth in Agriculture Program at Texas A&M University in College Station. They planted wheat in plots during phase 1. This is a three phase program that will continue through the spring. Rural youth are paired with urban youth to learn about the different phases of plant agriculture in this program. There are so many opportunities in 4-H, you just have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and get out there. We are proud of Fernel for representing Wood County 4-H.
If you’re looking for a pig for our county show in March here’s a good opportunity to find one!
We will meet tonight at 6:00pm at the Faith Baptist Student Center to learn about Photography!
