What Mrs.Valdivia does for our students truly goes above and beyond. She encourages students and ensures that all students have a place and voice at Horlick.

A huge thank you to all of our talented students who auditioned for THE CRUCIBLE. We were blown away by your dedication and passion—each of you made the decision process incredibly difficult! After much consideration, we are excited to announce the cast list for our production! 🌟
Congratulations to everyone who was cast! We can’t wait to see you bring this powerful story to the stage. For those who were not cast this time, please know how much we appreciate your hard work and courage. Auditioning is an achievement in itself, and there will be many more opportunities in the future!

ANNOUNCEMENT - Auditions for THE CRUCIBLE will now all take place on Wednesday September 25th only. If you signed up for a time on Tuesday, please either sign up for a new time slot on Wednesday or contact Director Kate Kowbel at [email protected] to schedule something seperately. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, flexibility and understanding.
Meeting for all current and prospective trip participants! It is not too late to register to be a part of this amazing trip! We will also be discussing the fundraiser information and updates for the trip as well. Please make sure to attend! Questions, reach out to trip leaders Kate Kowbel (Theater) or Brian Plehn (Vocal).
Audition Info and Signups for THE CRUCIBLE are located in the Theater Hallway. Auditions are open and available to all RUSD 9th-12th students. If you do not attend Horlick but are interested in more info and signing up, please send Director Kate Kowbel an email at [email protected].
Horlick Theater Arts prides itself on the fact our students not only do theater but are involved in other sports and activities at Horlick. So incredibly proud of Senior Charlie Cimbalnik, who was last seen as Sam Carmichael in MAMMA MIA! and who is one of the Captains of horlick.football this year, and led our team to victory last Friday night.

Audition Information and Signups will be available for our fall production of THE CRUCIBLE on Monday September 9th after school. It is incredibly exciting to bring this classic story to life in a new and fresh way. Questions? See Ms. K in the theater.
We are so incredibly proud of our very own Winter Newell for being the new National American Miss Jr. Teen Wisconsin. Way to go Winter!!!
What a wonderful and amazing year it has been! Enjoy the first day of summer break everyone!
And with that, the school year comes to a close and the theater is ready for its makeover.
Thank you to every single person who supported our program by taking classes during the school day, seeing one of our productions, buying a playbill ad or just sharing by word of mouth about the program. We are so excited to see what the 2024-25 school year holds for us!
Summer Meals are back!
Lunch will be provided at NO CHARGE for any child 18 and under. There is no need to sign up, just stop in! One lunch will be provided per child and they will need to eat on-site.
Dates and times: June 24 - August 1, Monday - Thursday, 12 - 12:30 p.m. (No lunches on July 3 or 4th)
Locations: Julian Thomas Elementary School, Knapp Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary (LaSalle Street, Door #8), Schulte Elementary (gym doors on the west playground) and Wadewitz Elementary.

Last night, we recognized and celebrated the achievements of the theater students at the Performing Arts banquet. Today, we take a minute to recognize and celebrate our amazing seniors and the Class of 2024. They are a small but elite group of people who are going to make such an impact on the world. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives. Remember, you are enough.

Today the cast of MAMMA MIA was asked to perform and take part in the groundbreaking ceremony of the referendum remodel that will be taking place at Horlick. As part of the project, we will be getting a new choir room, a remodeled band room and a refurbished theater. Thank you Racine Unified Schools and the citizens of Racine who made this possible.
