RAM's Wustum Museum of Fine Arts has a Call for Artists to apply for "Watercolor Wisconsin 2024" until September 30.

Artists 18 years or older residing in or maintaining a residence in Wisconsin can now submit one to two works in aqueous media to be considered for Watercolor Wisconsin 2024, opening at RAM's Wustum Museum on Wednesday, December 11.

Spirit of Racine Music Makers Inc. will launch their new season tomorrow, August 28.

A nonprofit, volunteer community musical group with vocalists, musicians and hand bell ringers, the mission of Spirit of Racine Music Makers is to spread love, peace and social justice through the power and beauty of music. To fulfill this mission, volunteer members rehearse in the fall and spring to perform two free concerts. Prospective members are welcome to a social at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Preservation Hall, 740 Lake Ave., in Racine.
The group will begin preparing for its Holiday Spirit 2024 concert in September. The concert will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 8 at Sacred Heart Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., Racine.

The Poetry Movement is offering a writing workshop on Thursday, August 22. Join them tomorrow at the Racine Literacy Council from 6-8pm for help crafting 25-syllable poems about mental health in Racine.
