As County Executive, he was a man of passion and vision. He worked tirelessly and endlessly to improve quality of life, create opportunities, instill positive change, promote education, support families and family members, and build a safe community in which to live, work, and play. He was warm, approachable, friendly, and kind. He was a man of great stature and integrity.
Our community has experienced a loss too great to put into words. We pray that his family, friends, colleagues, and Racine County are blessed with courage and strength in the difficult days ahead.

MISSING: Akilah Montgomery has not been seen by family since May 29, 2024 between 9:30-10am. She packed a small bag of clothes and left without telling anyone. This is not like Akilah not to contact her family. She is not in her vehicle and her cell phone goes right to voicemail. Akilah also has not been at work.
