FAQ: WHEN CAN I SIGN UP FOR MOBILIZED WHITE BLOOD CELL DONATION?

This type of donation requires a 4-hour time commitment, and other factors might be considered before donors can be scheduled for this procedure. CGT Clinics will have to screen you by scheduling at least one regular white blood cell donation appointment to see how you donate and if this procedure would be a good fit. Once you qualify, we will match you to an open project.

FAQ: DO BONE MARROW DONATIONS HURT?

The truth is there can be some discomfort during and after the procedure, but the level of pain donors experience varies widely from donor to donor. Most describe the numbing as the most painful part, and then it feels like pressure during the actual draw. Soreness after the donation can be expected, but it typically lessens each day and disappears within one to two weeks.

FAQ: WILL I BE COMPENSATED?

All CGT Clinic donors are compensated for their time and effort when donating. Donors completing a preliminary health screening receive a $25 reloadable credit card. Additional funds will be added to the same credit card for qualified donors who return; they will receive another $25 or up to $1000, depending on the size and type of the donation.

When donating with CGT Clinics, we welcome all individuals aged 18 years and older to donate! While most of our projects require healthy donors, we have a few projects that might be open to individuals interested in contributing to the research of their own treatments, such as diabetes and cancer.
