What great words to live by! Martin Luther King Jr. Day is also known as a Federal Day of Service. This reflects the values of Dr. King, where he was able to lead through non-violence, promoting justice, love and education. We acknowledge his works, and the progress that has been made over the past 60 years. In the spirit of education, our office book drive was able to donate books about diversity to the Central Children’s home in Oxford. And we will continue to incorporate his values into our daily lives. Our office is operating during regular hours today in observance of the holiday.

You can get the vaccine during any trimester and the COVID-19 vaccine may be administered simultaneously with other vaccines (i.e. Tdap, flu)! Denim Day 2023. We wear jeans to support awareness of victim shaming. This was started in 1992, as a victim was told her r**e was consensual since “her jeans were tight”, indicating that she had to help to remove them. This is an outrage, and there is never an excuse for sexual assault.

Cord blood contains valuable stem cells that can be used to treat some types of life-threatening diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma. Cord blood donation is a safe procedure for both mother and baby. A big thanks to our patients who participated!

are one of the best birth control methods out there. In fact, IUDs work at least as well as a (i.e. permanent sterilization)! A recent study published earlier this year in Feb 2022 found that hormonal IUDs were MORE effective than tubal ligation at preventing pregnancies, while copper IUDS were JUST AS effective.

So how do these methods work to prevent pregnancy? All IUDs work to create an inhospitable environment for s***m and implantation, while tubal ligation physically blocks or cuts the fallopian tubes so that eggs cannot meet with s***m.

In addition, researched found that complications and infections were also significantly more common within 30 days of tubal ligation. Women who received IUDs had fewer complaints of pelvic, abdominal, and genitourinary pain in the 6–12 months post-procedure, compared to tubal ligation.

We know that the current political environment brings more questions than ever today. Our goal is to inform you so that you can make the best decision for your health!
