For the Music Act to pass as part of the year end appropriations bill we need to ask our representatives to give it their support. The goal is allow the remaining funds from the SVOG (1.7 billion or so) to be released to the folks who were originally declined assistance. Many in the Senate and House have tried to re-appropriate those funds to others causes, but this is the “last chance” for us to get any help that was previous denied. It has been suggested that everyone call the following and leave a message stating that “many of us in the entertainment industry were left out and still in need of help as we have had to meet our financial responsibilities, including taxes, despite a significant loss of income over the last few years due to the pandemic. Many in our industry did not receive assistance and are suffering greatly, at risk of losing their livelihood and assets. Please support the Music Act, thank you!”
