For The Love Of The Beat

For Drew Thomas, better known as DRÜ behind the decks, his love for music started at an early age. What started as beating on pots and pans as a child transformed into more formal training in piano, trumpet, voice, and guitar. When the EDM craze of the 2000s began, DRÜ was transfixed by the variety of sounds and the distinct moods and feelings they could evoke in himself and others who enjoyed the music. It was during his college years that he bought his first entry level dj equipment so he could start manipulating the sounds he grew to love and string them together into continuous mixes that to him felt like story telling.

Over the years DRÜ passion for dance music continued to grow and he honed in on the specific styles and genres he enjoyed the most. He is now focused on house and tech house music with the occasional deep house set if the vibe is just right. For the past several years DRÜ has begun making a name for himself in the local NC dance scene and is excited to share his love for house music with you.
