The future of Red Hat Amphitheater is at stake 🆘

We're asking you to join the conversation about the amphitheater's future in Downtown Raleigh by visiting saveouramphitheater.com to stay in the loop and get involved.

ICYMI: Without your support, downtown's beloved venue may be permanently closed.

Plans to move the amphitheater one block south are part of the Convention Center expansion but it must be approved by Raleigh City Council, otherwise it could be lost for good. At issue is the closure of South St. between Dawson & McDowell St., the proposed site of the new amphitheater.

Raleigh City Council will decide in September and we need to make sure the Amphitheater stays downtown!

Save Our Amphitheater is a coalition of downtown residents, business owners, community leaders, performing arts advocates, and fans of live music ​in Downtown Raleigh. Downtown Raleigh Alliance is proud to be part of this community-led effort.

Red Hat Amphitheater, a cornerstone of our vibrant city center, is at risk of being permanently closed. Here's the deal:
* Red Hat brought 51 shows to downtown in 2023, generating over $17.5 million in economic impact
* It's one of the few attractions consistently bringing people downtown, especially during summer
* Small businesses like ours rely on the foot traffic from concert-goers to stay afloat

Losing Red Hat would be devastating for Downtown Raleigh. It's not just us saying this - business owners across downtown are speaking up about how crucial Red Hat is to their survival.
