It is with great disappointment that after 22 years in Raleigh, our Glenwood Avenue location is closing effective today, April 17, 2024. We have thoroughly enjoyed serving the Raleigh community over the years and are grateful for the support you all have provided during this time. We take pride in providing a quality Tex-Mex meal made with fresh ingredients daily to families, businesses and individuals young and old. As we have watched the restaurant industry change and the cost of doing business rise, we feel this location no longer serves our customer base. While we seek out a better location to serve our Raleigh community, we hope you will visit our original location at 120 East Main Street in Carrboro, NC – less than a mile from the UNC campus. This location offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as catering and free parking.

It’s Fri-yay!! 👀Raleigh Peeps, as mentioned in an earlier post this week, we are in conversation with the landlord to simplify and expand the free parking for our customers. Until further notice, remember to set up your parking before coming in to enjoy dinner tonight and this weekend. **If you are picking up take out, you may use the designated 10 minute pick up spaces (we recommend calling ahead for these orders because 10 minutes may not be enough time - again an issue we are working through with the landlord). Also, there are two pick up spaces on the street in front of the store on Glenwood that are designated for pick up. Please use them for a quick pick up!! (Yes, there are some jerks that park there when they shouldn’t. 🙄).

Let’s talk parking!! We, like you, are frustrated with the current parking situation in the Glenwood South area. As it stands now in our lot, Armadillo customers are allowed one hour of parking free Monday through Friday 11-5. You MUST scan the customer QR code when you arrive inside (please ask a cashier). We suggest you do this whether you are picking up or dining in. After 5pm and on the weekends, parking fees are charged and, unfortunately, tickets may be issued if you do not properly address your parking.

Please understand that this is not an Armadillo Grill policy, but rather a policy of our landlord. We are in discussions with the landlord to improve this process and hopefully expand the hours of free parking for our customers. Please don’t punish the Dillo Team for the parking issues!! We love our customers and want to continue to serve you for years to come.
