We are seeking a highly experienced interior designer to help lead our growing team at MA Allen Interiors. The Senior Designer will oversee and execute projects from concept through completion, ensuring that designs meet client specifications, budgets, and timeline expectations. The right candidate will not only have a strong portfolio of completed high-end residential projects but will also have a passion for leading others.

We’d love for you to be proficient in AutoCAD, Construction Documentation, Design Management Software, & Adobe InDesign.

This full-time position is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Our neighbors, friends and family, fellow designers, vendors, artists and builders in Western North Carolina are facing unprecedented devastation and loss. While we don’t yet fully comprehend the loss that these communities are facing today nor the rebuilding that is up ahead, we want to do everything we can to meet their immediate needs - food, water, shelter, transportation. And at long last and only two weeks late (thanks to my travel schedule) our little prince had his first day of school! 2 day twos for Fielding and it was nothing but smiles! Bittersweet dropping my little caboose off for this next chapter.

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to join our team overseeing the successful ex*****on of interior design projects from inception to completion. This team member will work closely with the design team and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards of quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project management with a strong track record of successful project delivery.

Skills: Proficiency in Project Management software (Design Manager preferred) and Microsoft Office required, Autocad is a plus!

This is a full-time role based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

And just like that the most wonderful summer ever has ended and these three monkeys are back to school! Day 1 in the books with Lula starting Kindergarten, Fisher rising to 3rd, and Lil’s first day as a 5th grade Middle Schooler! It’s going to be a great year! And forgive our front stoop appearance as I decided to have a new front door made and insisted that it have brass rim lock, no rubber weatherstripping for this lady, and alas we are still in the lengthy process of installing this new door, not even close to a paint can being opened yet thanks to the interlock process. Old homes are a labor of love .

Reality vs. Instagram or is it supposed to be the other way around 🙃? Happy Friday from my happy place where is chaos is starting to feel like the norm.

Last day ➡️➡️ First day!!! Always fun to compare how much the tan has faded and how many inches the clothes have shrunk 🤍. Crying on the inside with Lil moving up to middle school (5th grade) and Lula heading to Kindergarten in the fall. Summer, let’s do this!

Being their mom. I know it’s my purpose in this life. And I’ve had no greater joy. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Unveiling Pink Chicken’s newest store located in the bustling Midtown district at North Hills! Both & collaborated closely on the boutique’s design and decor to create a backdrop that allowed Pink Chicken’s designs to shine brightest. We are so excited to introduce this beautiful store to the Raleigh community and some of Pink Chicken’s most loyal customers!

Celebrating is easy with this amazing team! Hosting our annual holiday party with the team and their dates is always a highlight of the season for me. 🌲🌲🌲

Out of Office! Came to St. Barth to power up for the holidays but I’m in overdrive! I am completely in love with this magnificent island and don’t want to miss a thing. Overposting in stories this week and will share itinerary and travel notes in the Journal after the trip. Inspiration abounds for my current coastal projects and those to come! Big thanks to all who shared their recommendations with me for planning this trip! 🤍🤍🤍

Welcome, November! Time to edit and layer up at home for the season of guests and gatherings. It’s the best time of the year!

Halloween now —-> Halloween before. You will see Angelina Ballerina, Eloise and her pet turtle, Dennis the Menace and Madeline, Little Bo Peep and her sheep, Olivia the Pig, Eloise round 2, Julie B. Jones, one Wild Thing, cast of The Wizard of Oz, and cast of Winnie the Poo. This year….two tennis zombies and an extra bloody football zombie. Good thing Fielding cannot say zombie yet! It was the end of an era!

And with the blink of an eye our Lilian Elizabeth is 🔟! Cannot even believe I have been a mom for 10 years. This hard working perfectionist is our family comedian, sarcastic and witty. Like her mom, she is happiest at the beach and in Manhattan. She is our surfer girl and she loves tennis more than anything. A math brain that I do not know how she landed. She is kind and inclusive. A quiet leader. As her parents we could not be more proud of our ten year old! 🤍

One white pumpkin at a time, I’m creating kids that will grow up to fill their yards with over the top Halloween decorations 👻. Last year I added “Bones” to liven up the mix. He’s back on his perch in the foyer and the kids are happy!

Photoshoot weeks are HARD. It pulls a whole team out of the office, makes for long—at least 10 hour days, and we meticulously move objects centimeters at a time, fluff pillows, and fuss over branches and blooms throughout the day, all while working in the complete dark. It’s unlike what anyone would imagine when they flip through the glossy pages of a beautiful shelter magazine. But here at the end of day 1 of a long shoot, looking back over some of the shots captured, it’s the ultimate celebration for the design team. To see the product of the months and months of design time and construction management in 2D is such a visual reminder of all the time and creativity and patience that goes into every project, just like this renovation project. It’s a labor of love on every single one, and how thankful we are to have the most amazing clients who let us back in to capture our work. Cannot wait to share behind the scenes from this shoot with you all and finish photography too!

A whirlwind trip to New York was just what I needed to over come the mourning period that always accompanies the end of summer. Lots of tennis, shopping, laughs and good eats, this trip hit all the marks!

MA might be away but we are unboxing a beautiful new collection of towels and robes from x and it’s too good to delay sharing. Two of our favorite brands right here people, don’t miss it!
