For optimal loc growth and maintenance, retwisting every four weeks is recommended during the starter phase, and every two to three weeks for the first four to six weeks. In the budding phase, retwisting every four to six weeks is advised, while every four to six weeks is recommended for the teen stage, and every eight to twelve-plus weeks for the mature and rooted phases.

The customer desires to initiate the formation of locs. In order to augment their hair's overall length throughout each stage, they wish utilize artificial or 'faux' loc extensions.

The appearance of locs can transform significantly over time, with thickening and maturation being a natural process that many people experience. Appreciating each stage of the journey is encouraged to fully enjoy the evolution of one's locs.
