Mono Means One! It feels so appropriate that the first post festival sharing from us is about this band. Mono Means One recently recorded their debut album here at Lakeside Retreats, in the big yurt that they could just see poking through the trees from the stage. We even got to celebrate the albums release on the day of this set as well !
Most importantly though : we love these boys/men and the soundscapes they are weaving together. These are hard working humans and it shows. They drip with a lifetime of effort that allows them to appear cool, calm, and collected. Because they got this. They have put so much of their lives , so much time, into the art of their instruments; that even though what’s about to happen is very very complicated; they got this. They always appear as the calm before the storm.
So what is this video comprised of? Well, it’s a little silly, but so are we. We call it Soup Vision. It’s the direct output from Soup's visuals that was sent to the video walls. No post processing effects have been added except for standard editing cross dissolves and the edit itself. Rather than being synced audio/video this is a montage of what occurred live, from this particular point of view. We hope you enjoy.

The Casually Healthy Center for Relaxation and Good Vibes; a health and wellness center debuting at this year’s Casual Campout!! Sound baths, yoga, cold plunges, breath work, and more!

Located in our main camping field under the permanent pavilion just before your entrance to the main stage Art Walk! Check out the schedule below for all the wonderful offerings from our incredibly talented practitioners this year!

Joss Michael will be offering breathwork as well as cold plunges! A huge thank you to Joss for stepping up as CHC Coordinator this year as well!

Roxy Baye will have a variety of yoga offerings including slow flow and partner yoga!

Liz Tufte our wonderful returning friend will offer sound baths!

Jason Darby & The Creative Connection, the part man part myth all fun being from some other strange land, will be setting up a unique offering as well with his Whats Next? team! Come get something unique and special in your day! The Creative Connection will be an area for children to actively foster creativity and joy in a safe and shared environment. We are extremely excited and honored to be adding more programming for children this year and in the future! Don’t forget, kids 12 and under are completely free!

🥘🎉 Get ready to cook up some fun at the first-ever Casual Crock-Off: a Crock-Pot Cook-Off happening this Saturday at the festival! 🌟

Calling all culinary enthusiasts and crock-pot connoisseurs - it’s time to showcase your cooking skills and compete for the title of Crock-Pot Champion! Here’s the scoop: we’re looking for 40 judges to taste-test and vote for their favorite crock-pot creations. Judge tickets will be available at the gate for just $10 each, so be sure to grab yours early!

But that’s not all - the stakes are high! The winning chef will receive a golden ticket to next year’s Casual Campout, ensuring they can join us for another unforgettable weekend of music and fun. 🎫✨

Even better, all proceeds from the cook-off will be donated to a local food kitchen charity, so you can feel good knowing that your participation is making a difference in the community.

The Lovewise Lounge is a creative sanctuary that provides content creation, divination, and inspiration to all. Stop in for an interview, a reading, or a workshop. We also have a free tea station, if you just want to hang out on our couches and take a load off.

Hand Eye Heart Designs - We make handmade, hand carved pottery, macrame, silversmith jewelry and wall hangers that incorporate all creative mediums. The pottery ranges from mugs, pots, and planters to birdhouses with macrame hangers, and hanging planters. There is something for everyone.

Keron McHugh

Keron McHugh is an award-winning tattoo artist, entrepreneur, entertainer, philanthropist and Jedi Wizard. He has been a beacon in the tattoo industry and his work has received notoriety since his humble beginnings in the craft in 2010. His creations have been featured in Forbes, Inked, The Washington Post, Triangle Business Journal, Central City Ink Magazine, the Jamwhich Magazine, Around the Triangle radio show, Mebane Enterprise, the Hustler Files podcast, Music & Arts festivals as well as in fine art galleries. Keron has developed unique styles and innovative approaches to the art and science of tattooing, including cutting edge design development and application methods. Some of his favorite genres to tattoo are Geometric, Watercolor, Surrealism, Realism, Ornamental, Synth-Nouveau, Trash Polka, and fusions of multiple tattooing styles.
An artist of diverse disciplines, he is also a musician, poet, painter, mixed media wizard, digital designer, novelist and martial artist. Engaged with the arts on every level, he serves as secretary of the board for the local non-profit M.U.S.E Mebane, consultant with his firm Advanced Solutions, partner in a few small businesses, produces/organizes/hosts art & entertainment functions, mentors young people in the community, provides art supplies to local schools, sponsors arts programs, and collaborates to create in whatever medium is available. Keron and his team have forged a therapeutic arts hub and community center within The Cardinal where everyone is welcome to experience the magic of the arts and express themselves as they are, while learning something new each time.
