What Is Bacterial Vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is an infection of the va**na. It results from a change in the normal balance of va**nal bacteria.

Bacterial Vaginosis Symptoms

About half of the time, women with BV have no symptoms. But they can include:

Burning feeling when you p*e

Fishy smell that gets stronger after s*x

Itching

Thin white, gray, or green discharge

For example, depression increases the risk for many types of physical health problems, particularly long-lasting conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Structural biases and racial discrimination intersect to create a multifaceted barrier, impacting their access, quality of care, and health outcomes. Black women often encounter inadequate healthcare facilities in their communities, face financial hurdles, and endure implicit biases from healthcare providers, leading to misdiagnoses and undertreatment. Maternal mortality rates among Black women are notably higher compared to their white counterparts, highlighting the glaring disparities in prenatal and postnatal care.
