When designing this space, the design team saw an opportunity to create a ‘moment’ within the home.

La Maison Atelier refreshed the client’s kitchen with bold, repeating prints by Pierre Frey; and heightened the drama in the lounge by choosing a rich, wall-to-wall chocolate brown.

Q: Where do you find inspiration for your work? What inspires you?

A: “I will always be inspired by walking around in cities like Paris and New York, and stopping to look up. The details in old buildings are like nothing we have now. It stirs in me the quest to pay attention to every detail in the design process.

And I will always, always be inspired by fabrics both new and old that allow me to build a design that captures the energy and lifestyle of my client,” says Martha, Owner and Lead Designer of La Maison Atelier.
