Yesterday’s race exemplified those words and this community showed up to support in the largest way possible. This race isn’t always rainbows and smiles. More heartache & pain came with this 2024’s rendition, but from that pain this community truly came together to make a beautiful experience. From the cutest kid’s race in town to the epic afterparty that Raleigh Pride put on, this is what a true community event is supposed to look and feel like.

For those that have asked, the participant that collapsed yesterday is doing well and we hope to see him up at this week. Thank you to those that helped out yesterday, you saved a life and we are so grateful for your actions.

Back in 2022, we asked and the how we could amplify our race and make it stand apart from others. A simple solution was posed, let’s have a Drag Show(!!). With a little help, we produced a show after that race, in front of hundreds of participants, that got everyone on their feet cheering. Needless to say, our first Drag Show at Run For Love was a hit and now it has become a tradition that we aim to keep.

Happy Pride Month! Come help us celebrate by running the Run For Love on Saturday and stay for one of the best race afterparty’s you’ve ever been to. 🏳️‍🌈

Tonight starts the 10th Summer of Miles for the crew! That’s 10 years of consistency, hard work, & dedication to bring track access to our community.
One of the two main faces of the SWR Crew is Sandy Roberts, local legend, community leader, and diehard Nike Pegasus loyalist. Sandy has been running the streets of Raleigh his whole life and if you saw him out in the wild, he was probably clipping by in some Pegasus of old. We think it’s suiting that one of the most impactful runners in our area has been rocking the same shoe for 20+/- years. Kinda makes you think, it’s gotta be the shoes.. We know that’s not the case though, it’s consistency, hard work, & dedication to keep us running.

Next week is going to be a wild one for us here in Raleigh! Help celebrate Running, Love, and the new Pegasus 41 from Nike. On Global Running Day (6/5), the Pegasus celebrates 41 years of being one of the best in the biz with a tremendous midsole and upper update to the new model. Grab yours in the shop when they release!

On Thursday (6/6) be collaborating with Urban Run Club for a pre-party for the Run For Love, where you will be able to demo the new Pegasus, enjoy Trophy’s signature pride beer (Trophy Partner) on tap, and Nike will be covering a food truck! We navigated through the night and into the morning with the whole crew and Eric firing on all cylinders. Lots of uncrustables, salt and vinegar chips, and ginger ale to hit the right spots. A changing of the guard as the days grow longer and the last bits of winter thaw out. White Dogwoods and Eastern Redbuds begin to flower as we chase our miles into a sunset that feels more fleeting with each passing day. A seasonal changing of the guard calls for a changing of the gear we choose when it comes to the miles we log. The new campaign from Bandit consists primarily of essential pieces that have us ready to hit the ground running with our springtime training. We enter the quintessential time for a gathering of goals, thoughts, and races yet to be run. Reflections on our winter miles and re-centering as we prepare for the warmer days ahead. On the last day of Black History Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate a true leader & hometown hero, Bershawn “Batman” Jackson. Bershawn is a four time World Champion, Olympic Bronze Medlaist, Head Coach of T&F, Head Coach of , and Leader of Runologie Track Club. His athletes have gone on to powerhouse DI schools and his team can give most D1 programs a run for their money. His impact extends far more than his personal accolades, Bat has built a community of strong and successful individuals through his knowledge of the sport and love for teaching it to the youth. Rarely in sport does an Olympic athlete transcend their competitive career, but Bershawn is doing just that and Track & Field is better for it.

Call off work, y’all. We’re running for 48 hours straight.

Well… actually Eric is, but you can too! After crushing his Hell Week (4 marathons & 3 half marathons) in preparation for , Eric is back with another monster running endeavor. 4x4x48 at the shop with us! Eric will be starting Thursday night at run club and he’ll run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours 🤯. We’re partnering up with to make this challenge one to remember (even if Eric might not want to remember it). We’ll kick it off with an Invincible 3 demo on Thursday to let y’all try the shoe that Eric has been using to crush all of his miles in. We’ll plug the running schedule on our story, so screenshot that and plan your week around some late night or early morning miles. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come out during the 48 hours to cheer or run to get in on the fun. You can try to go all 48 hours or just come out for 4 miles. We’d love to have y’all out to keep the vibes going. We’ll be programmed with an Uncrustables station, Tater station, and more cool treats from Nike. We love running and we love absurd challenges and we love how much Eric loves combining those two.

MAGIC IN ORLANDO!

Wow. What a day at the Olympic marathon trials. It was a hot morning and a late start, but it was so inspiring to watch the best in the country battle it out for a spot to represent the U.S. in Paris this summer. The .endurance squad gave it their all and were beyond proud to have been a part of their journey to Florida. From the Friday activations to the magnetic energy at every spot on the course, Runologie is feeling so much love for this sport and what’s to come. North Carolina Represent!

Runologie spent some time at the ZAP Endurance training camp in Tallahassee a few weeks ago and we can report that there are about to be some fireworks this weekend! Tristin, Andrew, Josh, Whitney, Annmarie, and Tyler will be representing ZAP in the US Olympic Trials and we will be following along. The ZAP crew is based out of Blowing Rock, NC and we can’t help but root for the home team. It’s been lots of fun getting to know the team and witness their training going into the big day. You had to be there. To celebrate the Blue Ribbon Sports anniversary, we threw down with an unsanctioned mile race ending at the shop. The Raleigh community throws down everytime we want to do something special. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Blue Ribbon Sports and . A stellar art installation celebrating the legacy of BRS and a custom Bill & Phil brew by took it to the next level. Always one of our favorite days of the year. Way to show out, Raleigh 🔥

The morning miles have been FRIGID this week. We know y’all cant feel your fingers (same), but we feel you. We stocked up on some cold weather staple pieces from to keep y’all warm until it’s time to ditch that top layer on the side of the road. Return of the Mack brothers 🐺

What would Raleigh running look like if the Macks didn’t leave their mark on it? From North Forsyth HS, to NC State, to Bobby winning a national XC title in 2012: the impact they’ve had is tremendous and the legend has been growing for years. Eric would effortlessly win races and just keep running. Bobby dominated the NC road scene longer than any one person should. Nobody was doing running the way they did it back then. Just a couple of guys who did running their way. Work hard, run fast, and have fun. Nothing flashy. Back in the day they did some training in the old Supernova Classic, but now we set them up in the fresh Supernova Rise from . It’s got all the things they love in a daily trainer. If we remember correctly, promised to sponsor Bobby way back in the day. We got receipts. Right, ?

Coming off personal bests at the Chicago Marathon, with Tristin running 2:25:48 and Andrew running 2:11:22, all eyes are on the Olympic Trials next month. They took the AF3 out to a few of their core training spots in the mountains of NC and brought us along for the ride. It looks fast on the snowy roads of Watauga County, but it’ll look even faster on the sunny streets in Orlando come February. Runologie will be cheering for the crew at the Trials and beyond. Keep doing NC proud!
