These two rooms always catch the perfect light☀️The library is filled with family heirlooms, vintage furniture, and trinkets found from local antique shops around the Raleigh/Durham area. The perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail in the evening! While our dining room is a space used to gather for breakfast, private dinners, afternoon tea, and so much more! The dining room is also full of history with a dresser that once belonged to Winston Churchill.
Both of these rooms have original flooring from the early 1900s which is only the beginning of how much history both the library and dining room have.
Next time you are at Heights House ask us for some fun history facts about the house and we promise to share!
Welcome to the entry way where new faces walk through everyday. These column’s have lived in this space since the 1860s! An amazing way to greet our guests who are here for an overnight stay, grabbing drinks & charcuterie at the Parlor, or attending an event with us!
The attention to detail that was crafted into these plaster columns is such an amazing site to see. If you look closely you can see squirrels, birds, acorns, and flowers which were engraved into these columns back in 1858! We love this small detail because we think it pays homage to the oak city.
Next time you are at Heights House check to see what details you notice on the entry way columns!
MEET THE STAFF: Gabby- Guest Services & Venue Assistant !
Gabby has been working at Heights House for almost three years now and after spending many hours here she has decided that her favorite room is our dining room. “it’s a communal space where everyone can gather to enjoy good experiences and food such as supper club and afternoon tea!” This is probably why her favorite memory as HH was our holiday party when all of our staff got together for our own formal dinner in the dining room!
Thank you for all of the hard work you put into Heights House! We love having you on our Guest Services team and are so proud of you in your new role at Venue Assistant.
Cheers, Gabby!
The historic double queen also known as Room 5 is a unique and serene room. We say unique because it is our only room with two beds! Filled with natural light, a spacious bathroom, and original fireplace mantle. This room has made a major transformation from what it once was. Swipe to see photos of what this room looked like before it was reimagined into a one of a kind hotel room.
If you look closely at the last photo you are able to see just how good the foundation of this house is and how they used to build back in 1858!
