This seedling is from an Acer palmatum Amber Ghost, its aprox 4 years old and has been doing very well so far. Im busy most days, so more often than not iv observed these at night with the light of the moon and a flashlight. So, I have taken to calling this one 'Blood Moon' and will be grafting several more this summer to observe. 🤠🍁

Giant moons are already begining to start a show. Rather early this year, going to be fun fighting with the upcoming March frost.

And this year it looked as if the Acer Palmatum Yuki Yama was going to be the first to pop, right as it was about to put on its show the Hickory Hollow Dwarf came out of nowhere and over night took the win. 🍁 🤠

Acer palmatum 'Sweet Lorraine' This is my first spring with this newer cultivar introduced by Buchholz & Buchholz Nursery and it keeps grabbing my attention more and more. At first it looked fragile, but it quickly unfurled its leaves which ended giving me filigree vibes but with a nice amber rose color and light green veining that contrasted nicely. These pictures dont do it justice.
