This is what it's all about. I sat in on a mediation yesterday where the attorneys were recommending a quick settlement.
Once we dove into the numbers and asked somw clarifying questions, it was clear they were missing some important things that could impact this client for decades.
Another example of why you shouldn't let the attorneys do the financial work!

Spent some time with fellow NAPFA members last week in Portland.
Great conversations, opportunities to connect with people who I've only met via Zoom, and opportunities to reflect.
Something about traveling just opens up the mind and gets the creative juices flowing, doesn't it?

Things Not To Say To Your Children About Your Divorce!
If you’ve got something to say to your spouse, do it yourself! Turning your child into your Deputy Director of Communications means they will always be disappointing someone and make them feel they can’t trust either of you to do the job of co-parenting. So keep your kids out of the middle and speak directly with your ex.

Never let the fear of the market hold you back from investing.
Time and again, we hear reasons not to invest, but the truth is, avoiding the market can lead to missed opportunities and setbacks in achieving long-term goals.
Remember, never count the market out.
Divorce can be a financial minefield. But it doesn't have to be.
Navigating the financial complexities of divorce can feel like walking on eggshells. What do you keep? What do you split? How do you ensure a fair settlement?
I've been down these roads myself. I've seen and felt the frustration, the confusion, and the panic when suddenly realizing the mountain of financial decisions ahead.
But, take a deep breath, we'll get through this together.
Remember, it's not just about surviving but moving forward with confidence and peace of mind. Divorce is tough, no doubt about that, but with the right planning and guidance, it need not shatter your finances.
The conclusion? Planning for your financial future during a divorce isn't a luxury – it's a necessity.

Dealing with finances in the wake of a divorce can prove to be a daunting task.
Dividing assets can often be as complex as the deepest equations of quantum physics. Over time, I've honed an effective approach to helping folks navigate these tricky waters:
1. Acquaint Yourself with Your Finances - A comprehensive knowledge of your financial situation is crucial before entering negotiations. What are your assets, debts, incomes, and outgoings?
2. Engage a Financial Planner - A professional advisor can provide expert insights on how to divide the assets without hampering financial stability.
3. Plan For the Future - It's easy to get caught up in the present turmoil, but one must consider future financial obligations as well.
is never easy, the emotional toll is heavy. However, a robust financial plan can provide a solid foundation during such turbulent times.
Always remember, seeking professional help in such matters is a display of strength, not weakness.

Ever felt like you've been tossed out in the deep end without a life jacket? That's how dealing with money can feel after divorce.
Splitting assets isn't just about loose change; it's about piecing apart years of shared stuff, sorting out the cash stash, untangling dough pots, and deciding who gets the golden eggs. It's a bit of a head-wrecker to face alone, right in the middle of a heartache 💔.
Think about it - how do I keep my cash flowing after saying goodbye to the old ball and chain? Who gets what from our shared loot? How to rejig future money plans when the Mrs. or Mr. is no longer in the picture?
Been there, done that, and helped plenty more to deal with it.
To wrap it all up - if you're in the divorce boat or see break-up clouds on the horizon, remember - you're not stuck on your own. Balancing the books after parting ways might seem like pie in the sky - but with some savvy planning and nifty advice from money maestros like us at Allegiant Divorce Solutions, it can totally be your jam 🎯👍.
Like a mate who lends a shoulder when times get tough, we're reaching out to give you a leg-up. Your journey to financial freedom after saying sayonara to your spouse starts here 👊👊.

Had a dream last night that I was at a family gathering and about half of my family wouldn't look in my direction or speak to me.
Unfortunately, if there were a family gathering today IRL, the same thing would happen.
Let me explain.
In 2017, I asked for a divorce. My then wife was not happy about it, so she opted to blatantly lie to most of my family via social media about who I am as a person, father, and family member. Like, literally go through my entire Facebook messaging system and contact whomever she could.
About half of them took her side because I wasn't able to get out in front of it. This was my fault.
Let me tell you: parental alienation, family alienation, and PTSD in is a real thing. And because of it, some of my most cherished loved ones and mentors of mine are no longer a part of my life.
It's tragic.
This is just another reason why I do the work I do at Allegiant Divorce Solutions. It is time to put a stop to the madness and chaos created by divorce and find amicable ways to help people through what is often an emotional and financially-draining process.
If you are considering a divorce or going through one, please reach out. DM me and we'll have a confidential conversation.
I've made some mistakes along the way; ones that I can absolutely help you avoid. I've also made some good decisions that I can share with you to help you navigate these tough times.
