Balayage is a technique NOT a hair color.

At least once a week someone shows me a picture of a "balayage" and these are the top three questions I ask them.

What do you like about this picture?
Do you want the statement piece in the front?
Do you like the actual physical tone in this photo?

8/10 times, the only thing they like about the photo is the level of lightness and how solid the blonde is at the end of the hair. We must remember that all people see color differently and that what is warm to you might be neutral to someone else. So ask the proper question so that you too, can nail your consultation every time.
