American Flag Disposal Program

On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, the Rancho Cucamonga City Council / Fire Board and Fire Chief McCliman recognized the Fergot Family for their service in providing our Rancho Cucamonga Community with the American Flag Disposal Program. This program began in 2016 by Jacob Fergot and his Eagle Scout Troup #619. Since then, the Fergot Family has kept this program alive and has either retired or redistributed approximately 7,775 flags.

The U.S. flag stands for our nation and the shared history, pride, principles, and commitment of its people. We signal our respect for everything it represents when we properly display this powerful symbol. Please join us in acknowledging the Fergot’s for their commitment and effort in providing a space for our residents to retire their American Flags properly.

If you have a damaged American Flag, it may be dropped off at the Archibald Library (7368 Archibald Ave.) to properly be retired.

2021 Holiday Lights Display Information

The Thoroughbred neighborhood holiday lights display area has been designated as Drive-Thru Only for December 3rd-5th and December 10th-24th, 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Pedestrians access will be permitted December 6th-9th from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

This ordinance was established several years ago to reduce the mix of vehicles and pedestrians during high volume evening and weekend hours. Deputies will be actively enforcing this ordinance and violators are subject to a citation and fine.

We encourage everyone to follow the ordinance, obey traffic laws, and most importantly, be safe and enjoy!
