Some of you may know that I am working through a hip issue and am awaiting a hip replacement consult. Over the years, my body has changed and so has my practice. That's one of the great things about the yoga world, there are always variations of poses to explore and other modalities to practice. My hip issue came on quickly and took me by surprise. Given the need to take care of my body at this time, I am teaching my last Power 2/3 class in East Bridgewater on June 18, 2024. This was a difficult decision to make as I love teaching 2/3, creating challenging flows and fun transitions. Even more, I love all of the students who meet me on their mats every Tuesday. On June 25, 2024, Maura Glynn will take over the 2/3 class. Please show her some love!
I will continue to teach at Open Doors Yoga Studios Taunton on Wednesdays at 4:45 PM - Yoga and Guided Meditation and 6:00 PM All Levels. I will also continue to teach all Council on Aging chair yoga and meditation classes and corporate chair yoga. Be well!

RESTING IS DOING

If only we could see the power in rest.
If only we could attach to it, the worth it so deserves.
If only we could open our minds to the idea, that everything in nature has its time to rise and its time to descend.
That each of these acts is just a important as the other.
And that is exactly as it must be.
If only we could see the courage it takes to lay aside the worries, the fears and the comparison, just for a few hours, to let the mind, spirit and body come together again.
Doing the one thing they all require so much… nothing.
If only we could see the power in rest.
Because resting is very much doing.

Today, my Mom, Alice Benvissuto, passed over and our hearts are broken. My Mom was the strongest woman that I know and enjoyed living her life filled with the love of family and friends.
I will be away from teaching my yoga classes for a while longer. Please show some love to the subs, who are scheduled to cover my classes. Please keep my Dad and our family in your thoughts. I appreciate you. Namaste.

A little bit more about Linda!

What was your first yoga class like:
When I was almost 40 years old, I attended my first yoga class at the local YMCA. The teacher, Ann, was very welcoming and helpful in her teaching style. I remember she had us place our mats in a circle, while she demonstrated the poses from the center. I left the class feeling relaxed and knew that I would be returning.
