The Pootatuck Archers maintain a beautiful outdoor range in Redding CT, with field archery, hunter, and 3D targets. New members welcome!
Founded in 1960, the Pootatuck Archers is a non-profit organization dedicated to the safe enjoyment of the sport of archery in all its many forms. Our range facilities, including almost 2 miles of trails and a picnic area, provide a beautiful venue for shooting, socializing, and competing and are open year-round, sunrise to sunset. The shed is built! Huge thanks to Tom and Herb, who led and saw this project through, and everyone who turned up to help out!
We'll be finishing the shed Monday (10/14) beginning at 8 AM. Shingles, trim, and doors. Lunch provided!
We will be assembling the new shed Friday and Saturday. Volunteers welcome, wear sturdy boots and work gloves!

The shed has been taken down. Need people tomorrow at 8 am to load the scrap into a trailer (bring gloves and sturdy boots).
Just a reminder to be alert for animals on the range, and to give them lots of space!

Here are the Transatlantic Shoot results! Each club shot 10 Field targets (40 arrows, max. score 200) and 10 3Ds (20 arrows, max. score 200); a perfect total score would be 400. A static course was set up in the practice area for those unable to walk the trails. We had 3 divisions: Compound, Recurve, and Self/Longbow.
