Shannon’s journey into the fitness world began in 2012, with a passion for serving others through movement and wellness. Transitioning out of her career as a hairstylist entrepreneur, armed with an education in Group Fitness and Exercise Science, she was on the hunt for her new calling. Through a fateful postcard in the mailbox, with a picture of badasses moving together with bright green drumsticks (Ripstix), Shannon discovered her calling: Pound Fitness.
Since 2016, Shannon has trained in every Pound program including their flagship, Pound Rockout Workout, the youth program, Generation Pound, and now, the latest and greatest mind-body program, the “workout designed for your mental health”; Pound Unplugged.
With her relentless dedication to spreading the infectious fun and effectiveness of all things Pound, Shannon was recently invited to join the education team as a master trainer, called a Pound ICON! Her energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to serving others will ignite an environment where everyone feels like a rockstar. See you on the Pound Unplugged mat!

“Alejandro is a lover of life, devoted to his beautiful relationship with his wife and their twin teenage boys. A passionate boxing coach and mentor to the youth, he aims to support young men in becoming healthy, strong, and balanced individuals. As a coach to adults, Alejandro helps people cultivate more confidence, presence, and self-love. He loves playing his handpan on Fridays at Simply Rooted and has recently developed a new love for the art of yoga.
Over the past 3 years, Alejandro has experienced profound personal growth through various Authentic Relating and Circling organizations, learning many of the modalities and exercises he’ll be leading in The Relational Playground. His workshops aim to bring more love, authenticity, and presence to connections, encouraging people to live more from the heart. He hopes participants leave with a renewed sense of presence, allowing them to cultivate deeper, more authentic relationships at home and everywhere they go.”

Recently relocated back home after living in Los Angeles & New York he has gained over 10 years of fitness expertise in Instructing, Coaching and Training. From The Little Big Gym in LA to Equinox, Orangetheory and MPHC in NY..
Skill drills, competition, and teamwork were instilled in him at a very early age. His Parents were young and active, they had him competing in racquetball, skiing, and gymnastics by age 5.
Later in life racquetball turned into college tennis, skiing became snowboard team, and gymnastics became yoga, In his free time, he enjoys CrossFit, Theater, and Travel.
He believes that training should be about the goal through strength, nutrition, flexibility and balance.
His favorite quote “To improve is to change, to be perfect is to change often”-WC
Asher holds certifications in Strong by Zumba, Schwinn Instructing, BollyX, Shape Up NYC, dot Fitness, Zumba, Orangetheory. He has also designed his own classes: PopCycle, MPHC Group and RunLab.”

“Maycie has been practicing yoga for 8 years and recently got her RYT-200. She has a passion for health and wellness, which led her on a path to studying kinesiology and working in a physical therapy clinic. She likes to incorporate what she has learned, from her school and work, into her practice to help promote lifelong movement and injury prevention. Maycie fell in love with yoga because of its versatility and she is excited to share her knowledge and love for this practice with others. She can’t wait to see you in the studio!”
Maycie will be subbing our Gaia class this Friday at 4:30 pm and will be soon teaching two regularly scheduled classes (stay tuned).

This has been on our hearts for so long and it is finally happening! We are going after the heart of our city in offering Grief & Loss Support Group. Let’s welcome this incredible woman… Rianna.
“Rianna received her Art of Bachelors in Psychology. She is an intern, in her last semester of her degree in Masters in Counseling and School Counseling ppsc credential. She works as a School Counselor where she found a passion for group work.
Rianna is leading a grief support group because she believes it is needed.
She personally walked through a lot of family loss and grief in her twenties. She had her husband and her community who supported her and her brothers. She said that she would not have survived without them!
Even though she had loving support, her grief journey was lonely.
Rianna is motivated to make a safe space where others with loss can walk in wherever they are in their journey. This is a place to find a community who understands loss, share their pain, and gain hope.
Instead of isolation and running from pain, Rianna knows being honest in community is a part of the healing journey. She loves that the grief support group is in the heart of downtown, because this honest community is a seed buried, ready to grow more beauty to the Redding community.
Some fun facts about Rianna are, she loves traveling, she lived in Asia for 2 years and loved it. Rianna loves the beach, grew up playing basketball and loves coaching when she can. Walking on the river trail and drinking good coffee is her favorite thing to do in Redding!”

Starstruck with the practice and power of yoga within the fitness industry, Kelly sought out her Baptiste Power Yoga Credential in 2021 and since has completed AYTT Spinal & Nerve Flossing Certification, 1Giant Mind Meditation and Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering Program & is moments away from finalizing her 250 Hr YTC..
Kelly loves what yoga has to offer for all fitness levels— physical tools for pain management, protection from injury, an increase in flexibility, strength, mobility & balance as well as metaphysical tools for challenges and stresses of life. Most dynamically, the philosophical principles of yoga offer an intellectual and spiritual framework to guide practicing yogis in everyday life. A focused and purposeful experience is the goal of Kelly’s classes— to give tools for not only physical, but mental & emotional regulation. If she were to offer a piece of advice for a new student, it would be to “come as you are,” setting sail to the common self inhibitions. Power Yoga Flow is based on Baptiste Power Flow Yoga’s JIP (Journey Into Power) - each movement is connected to a breath or more depending on the student’s own experience and flow of breath. This practice gives you complete access to vitality, power and freedom!
