Hilltop Springs Senior Living
Hilltop springs offers retirement living of any level—independent, assisted, or memory care
Our "Longest Day: Kick-off Party for The Walk to End Alzheimer's" was a fun way to begin building our team, "The Hilltop Springs' Spring Chickens." Michael Finnegan, with Walk to End Alzheimer’s came to fill us in on the ways in which The Alzheimer's Association helps families cope with dementia, as well as search for a cure. He was also here to help people sign up for our team. The fundraising began that afternoon, as well, as our generous residents jumped at the opportunity to help a great cause. Family members and friends, please join us as well.
Residents from our memory care had a lovely outing to visit the koi pond and walk the garden path surrounding the prayer chapel at Bethel Church, Redding. We were all delighted by the beauty surrounding us.
Come join us tomorrow at 3:00 pm for Happy Hour 🍷🧀 & sign up to walk with our Hilltop Springs - Spring Chickens 🐔 team! We can’t wait to see you & sign you up!💜
The Bistro turned into a florist shop today as residents gathered to arrange flowers that were donated by Trader Joe's. As people walked by, several stopped to enjoy the fun and beauty. Marion was an excellent teacher for those who needed a little coaching. What a fun way to brighten up our spaces.
There was such delight in watching Phyllis discover that she could still bowl, even from a wheelchair, and even using two hands. She even got a strike! We laughed, cheered, and had a generally jolly time!
Too cute not to share! Showing her spirit for Father’s Day along with spirit week as we “Dress Like Your Dad!” for the Father’s Day Lunch!
Gone fishing! Kicking off our June Spirit Week with a trip to Caldwell Park! We didn’t see any fish but we saw a whole flock of geese! The weather was warm but we had it made it the cool shade!
Gone fishing! Kicking off our June Spirit Week with a trip to Redding Lake at Caldwell Park. We didn’t see any fish but we did see a flock of geese! We collected sticks and moss on our scavenger hunt to use to make our “scavenger fish collage” for our art project! The weather was warm but we had it made in the cool shade! Welcome summertime!
The weather was too hot for our scheduled picnic-in-the-park, so we changed plans and went to Baskin-Robbins for a delicious trip down memory lane. So many flavors. So many good memories. And, yes, we did have some who ordered vanilla.
Our June birthday party had a refreshing summer vibe as Rebekah, the master of decor, pulled out beach towels, beach balls, bubbles, and other symbols of summer fun. Mildred and Joyce, who are both celebrating birthdays this week, discovered they both have roots in Kansas. We had a delicious time. Happy birthday to all of you with June birthdays.
While some residents came to get in on the action, others followed their noses to the Inspiration Station where we had our first ALMC Cooking Club. The simple, but delicious Rice Krispie Treats were a hit. The social time was better yet.
Ocean Waves Art Lesson today! Never painted before? No problem! We enjoyed an afternoon makin’ waves!
Our visit to Turtle Bay Exploration Park was a wonder and delight as we visited the butterfly exhibit and the wildlife park. Our Memory Care residents have decided that this is a fun place to return to as there is so much to see. So, we'll be visiting again next month.
Bingo! On the big screen! Come be a big winner!
Our Memory Care residents enjoyed their delicious lunch "al fresco" in the courtyard. Carl, Linda, Kathy, and Katana competed in a suspenseful and impressive game of Jenga. We had a great time.
Celebrating Memorial Day together with burgers and apple pie!
Today, as we remember and honor those who have given "their last full measure of devotion" in the service of our nation, may you be blessed with gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy.
Our live music with The Village Trader was very entertaining and joyous. Shirley joined Noah for a duet on "Heart & Soul." Luz sang a solo of one of her old favorites. Elaine and Key danced to the music and the rest of us sang along. Music brings people together.
Please join us on Tuesday, May 21st for the following presentation by Kindra, of the Alzheimer's Association. A light luncheon will be served. Please RSVP to 530-395-1777.
Our Live Music & Happy Hour with Joe Catanio was definitely a crowd pleaser. Joe is a master crooner of the oldie-goldies and had the crowd singing along, swaying, and dancing to his wonderful music.
It’s a Rodeo Bistro!
We had a delightful time when students from Redding School of the Arts challenged us to a game of bocce ball. Thanks to the generosity and hard work of Patrick Karch, our Bocce ball court was resurfaced and ready for play. The Hilltop Springs Spring Chickens: Allan, Greg, Franz, and Dick faced their intimidating opponents, Le Volpi (which means "The Foxes" in Italian) with courage and finesse, coming back from behind and winning the game. With Italian music playing in the background, our sports announcer, Pat, kept us entertained with fun facts about bocce ball, the Mafia, and anything Italian.Let's do this again. We celebrated “Mothers” in style with a Mothers Day brunch with Mimosas!
Kicked off our Rodeo Spirit week with a pancake feed!!! Mmm yummy!
Our Dining Services Manager, Sabrina, (L) and Dining Services Specialist, Natalie, (R) are dedicated to providing excellence in dining services and are also just a whole lot of fun. Sabrina really rocked that taco hat she wore for our Cinco de Mayo Celebration, bringing a lot of smiles into the room. She is shown with Ellie and Marion. She even shared the unique experience of being a taco-head with Angie.
Thank you, Sabrina and Natalie for all you do!
