Some of the amazing exhibitors at the 9th annual STEM Career Day!
The 2022 STEM Challenge featured students designing efficient hydroelectric turbines. Students designed multiple types of blades that they affixed to an axle and multimeter, which measured the electricity being generated by the system when it was dipped into moving water. Students then used the data to improve their blade design. In the process, students learned a real-world engineering process and were inspired to consider their daily energy use and impacts on the Earth's natural and human systems.
Everyone is an engineer in daily life and some choose it as a career!
